Never really been into candied yams. But my wife’s sweet potato casserole???? She does it with the candied pecans on top and mannnnnnnnnnn. It was a game changer for me. It’s like eating the best sweet potato pie without the crust and covered with pecans. Because I just never could get with that marshmallow and raisin stuff.

Candied yams? I love this dish but not with the rest of my food.
This is a dessert to me. When I was child I always wanted my yams in a separate vessel.
My Granny was the only one who understood me and honored my request but later I would ask for either Vanilla Bean ice cream or whipped cream. A deconstructed sweet potato pie if you will 😉.
