- Welcome to TomFM! In today's Football Manager 2023 experiment video I moved Saudi Arabian clubs to the Premier League to find out how well they would do with all of their new high profile stars such as Ronaldo, Neymar and Benzema. How well do you think Al Nasir, Al Hilal, Al Ahli and Al Ittihad will do?

@@micgreenson7308 i missed the t 😬
@@micgreenson7308 of course i wont, im already the best 😎
You should do it and upload it on your channel 🙂
@@listey i dont have one
West Ham Qualifying for the UEL and getting relegated at the same time lmaooo (at 2:34)
5:40 - Also another 'chinese board' club is Oriental Dragon FC (portuguese 3rd or 4th tier, idk for certain) which Zealand managed in FM21.
Hey Tom ! I'd just like to correct an error in your section on clubs partly owned by Chinese investment. Sochaux was sold to a consortium of local companies and associations at the beginning of August and the Chinese owners no longer own a single share in the club. Over the next few months, the company (which is the equivalent of an LLC in the UK) will become a SCIC (no UK equivalent), which will divide the club's shares into several colleges: companies, shareholders, supporters, current and former employees and current and former players. A model with socios that differs from Spanish clubs.
In the video you can see "Had/have chinese investors" which means also club in the past like Milan for example
You’d be surprised… I was surprised, the teams in SPL are actually way better than I had anticipated, even without these Star players there.
Before these transfers, Al Hilal placed 2nd in Club World Cup (loosing to Chelsea 1 -0) and played Real Madrid 5-3.
They have talent there.
Ps - I wondered why people would move to KSA… turns out, they’re ranked 2nd in amount of happy citizens. Seems like KSA is the second happiest place in the world.
gonna be honest you guys over estimate the quality of the pl, if the Saudi clubs were so bad THERE WAS NO WAY they were gonna beat Argentina in the WC and their clubs getting to the club WC final like every year
never thought i would see China’s Belt and Road initiative referenced in a TomFM video…. you love to see it 🎉
Respect to you for not glossing over the sports washing! Don't see that a lot unfortunately
yep i feel apart from hitc sevens most people are either scared, dont care or want some of that blood money
Or they just want to grow their league how is it sportswashing
@@nathanhawkins9149if you want to grow the leagues promote football in Saudi Arabian schools invest money in facilities so you can build homegrown players. This doesn’t build a league
@@nathanhawkins9149 cuz when england does it it’s not sportswashing. Hypocrites.
@@nathanhawkins9149they are paying people’s favourite athletes/teams to forget about their human right abuses… blatant sports washing
Appreciate you sharing your opinion at the end lad, keep up the good work 👍
No way did you say al hilal would be in a relegation battle in the prem
I actually think its a genious idea to use both FM and FIFA in the same concept. That way everyone can be happy.
honestly great on you calling out the saudi league.
Ittihad only stayed up because of it's keeper. Libertadores winner Grohe is amazing
When you do this make sure you make all players trained at the club and England so they register does not stop them playing
what skin do you use tom?
Wonder what signings they would get when in the prem.. should do another video 👀
I think you're under-estimating the Saudi clubs. I feel like their average performances across FM & FIFA were about right.
and over-estimating english clubs
One or two injuries from their top players and they are going right down. The teams are overly reliant on their big money signings. The rest of their squads are mid championship at best.
@@IonicThree The likelihood of all their marqee signings getting injured together is unlikely, so I think them going down is super unlikely. Mid-championship is too high for the base squad.
@@tcookiem Perhaps.
Well al hilal are one of the best performing teams in the world currently funny enough
spot on with what you said at the end of the video
I need to know if you keep the home grown rules in on these databases as this is all I can think of when watching these
All that money spent and has anyone seen a game….or wanted to?
Ive seen a game and it was rubbish, only one Saudi player looked vaguely competent- Saud Abdulhamid of Al- Hilal
Eurosnobs when football outside Europe (what do you mean South American clubs can be arguably bigger than a mid table English club)
I think IT would be cool if you put all saudi teams on league two and Simulate some seasons to se which saudi team is the best
rodgers from celtic to saudi here we go
put all saudi teams in the championship
Something has been bothering me ever since i chanced upon Tom's channel (and have been hooked ever since), but why does he look like Joseph Gordon-Lewitt to me😭
saudi teams can spend big now but if they join the UCL, as soon as FFP starts to become a thing, no one is going to be joining them.
The amount of plain arrogance this guy has is just staggering!
Saudi Arabia had good players already. With the inclusions they would be yoyo clubs I think
One or two good players but the majority of the players in Saudi clubs are trash
Yeah, good trash. Or you think being a yoyo team is good? Real trash is non League. What they definelly are not
Does travel impact them?
BS, Alhilal almost won the club world cup without those massive signing, they are just below man city for me
What would happen if saudi pro league was in uefa? (Video idea)
They can spend all the money they want, they'll never get the same reputation of European clubs
i got a similar idea , to put saudi arabia league in europe..
No Saudi clubs in champions league, its a European Cup
The manager would be executed for losing to Port Vale
Stupidity and envy are a disease that is impossible to cure
0:29 OTAVIO😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Thank you for mentioning the sports washing!
I have a question: Did Saudi Arabia commit criminal acts? Of course, Saudi Arabia is the one that destroyed Afghanistan and killed the children, or occupied Iraq, or occupied Syria, or destroyed Libya, or besieged South America economically, or occupied the African continent and stole its wealth, or tried to change the gender of the children.
Do you think she did all this rubbish and wants to wash her reputation by buying players?
Stupidity and envy are a disease that is impossible to cure
I wish you do the same video at the end of the season and see what changes, you will be surprised, guaranteed 👍
Please don’t compare fifa to FM 😢
2:34 West Ham relegated and Europa League lmao
Nice idea
The odds are based on reputation, I believe.
Alhilal have a better midfield than man united
How?
all 4 would be relegated even though there is only 3 relegation places
Hmm
Early gang

Here
Ergh FIFA
All 4 would finish top 7 and al-hilal would easily finish top 4.
Learn to speak Arabic Tom, you might get a big money sponsorship from the PIF if you do Saudi friendly FM and FIFA videos.
stop doing fifa 😢
