The risk is when price goes up, the gain of the LP is reduced (could've made more just holding the coin); when the price goes down, their loses increased compared to holding. I personally hedge against a decrease in price with a short position equal to the amount worth of coins of the volatile asset when I start a LP (in this case SUI). Therefore, if SUI price may drop 20%, I lose in the LP but my SUI short position gains 20% therefore hedging against downside risk while still receiving juicy pool APYs (basically a delta neutral strategy)
@@noel3700 depends on the time frame you’re looking at things with, and wether or not you’re in correlated pairs. I find most people who try and hedge by shorting more often. Keep. It. Simple. Get into assets you’d hold long term anyways. Then you get excited when prices fall as your LP basically DCAs for you
