The producer Shri Sridhar, Shanker Jaikishan and the musicians were all tensed up & waiting for the arrival of Rafi shaneb at the studio. He was very Ill , Yet Rafi Saheb refused to cancel the recording, as that would have meant heavy losses for the Producers, as this song was to be picturised on Rajendra Kumar & Meena Kumari and they all were waiting for the song for shooting in Madras. Mohammed Rafi was suffering from high fever on the day or recording of this Masterpiece, Yet he choose to travel from his house in Bandra to Famous Studio, Tardeo where this song was to be recorded. The producer Shri Sridhar, Shanker Jaikishan and the musicians were all tensed up & waiting for the arrival of Rafi shaneb at the studio. He was very Ill , Yet Rafi Saheb refused to cancel the recording, as that would have meant heavy losses for the Producers, as this song was to be picturised on Rajendra Kumar & Meena Kumari and they all were waiting for the song for shooting in Madras. Rajendra Kumar was a Jubilee star and extremely busy at that time & any Shooting cancelation means a wait for a year for the producers to get fresh dates from him. That would have been Disaster for the Producers. Against the Doctors orders Rafi went ahead and Recorded the song. Such was the dedication of this immortal singer Mohd Rafi Saheb towards his art.
