I remember the frustration of grinding out my 10.3 Americans while getting the stages for the AVRE.
It has a max range, the gun is impossible to wing shot outside collision range, has no reverse gear, and only gets the BESA as a reliable weapon.
And it’s the best fun I’ve had since the BT-42 was added.
Also have abnormal armor and u troll enemy 1 shoting them.THat thing can kill Tiger II.
Imagine getting 30 smoke grenades and almost never using them in "The Melee Churchill." You have the tools to close the distance and just never use them, lol.
When i played this thing i spammed smokes when i couldnt hit so i could just slowly crawl over to them without getting my barrel/tracks shot out its pretty effective and fun
People always give me crap about using them. Like sorry I don't want to be hit by 20 shells in less than 2 seconds while trying to cap the objective the rest of the team is ignoring

Ngl as a sturmtiger enjoyer this thing was a dream tank so far, granted the range is disappointing, but I loved getting to 13 kills without dying (respawned to a total of 15 kills). What I found helpful and what you often failed to do Tankenstein was rangefinding EVERYTHING until you get pused to to the drop. (For me previous sturmtiger experience made it a quick conversion for me, as well as allowed me to not notice the reload length even with 2 crew)
It's like a Tonberry from final fantasy. Sure, "It's only got a knife" But it just keeps getting closer. And closer. And it's angry!

Snickering the entire match because of some well placed '1' Decals: Yes!
I killed three of these in two days. The first with a Grant, the second and third I got in one game driving a Swedish trumpet.

This thing is the most fun i've had in quite a long time. It's really easy to just track you and stay away, but newbies doesn't quite understand that. It's definetly a seal clubber, but it's also so much fun!
You can speed up the elevation scroll in the configuration menu.
Don't know why people are so surprised at the short range and slow velocity. It's job IRL was to smash fortifications, bunkers etc, not fight other tanks.
Just like all the AVRE's, the Sturm"tiger", the "Brummbar" etc. Never meant to combat other armoured vehicles.
But Gaijin want to add more and more "FOMO" vehicles and more vehicles in general to keep up interest and try to sidestep the still glaring problems in the base game.
So we end up with SPAA being more effective as a TD, self propelled artillery being used as tanks and the snail constantly stuffing around with BR changes, ammo effect changes and random nerfing/buffing to try to keep the appearance of the last semblance of "balance."
I took out a Tiger over the weekend in up-tier, very satisfying. Made up for the dozen plus times I died with zero kills in this thing, lol. Even in an up-tier, it's still a Churchill and it can take a wallop but that cannon...
really good fun vehicle despite its flaws. i'd love it though if the avre turret was on the crocodile hull/trailer. that combo would be amazing at 2.7 for close combat and give the flamethrower more use given how more vehicles are open top.
It was a hard grind... But please tell me one thing: You play WT for over 12 years and still have lvl 60 crew? Also you get a ton of GE from the snail and you only have expert crews? Why no lvl 150 ace on all slots?

@@macdaniel6029 huh but he got no yt sponsorship im 99% certain. Because the snail claims he doesnt get enough views (but really prob. Only because he gives buying guides and his honest opinion on vehicles) for a partnership
@@Endermann111 That is true for a Tankenstein decal or tank but he still gets some goodies.
Anyway, he plays for over 12 years, he plays top tier. And still he has mediocre crew levels like someone playing the game for a year or so. I play WT for 2+ years now and most nations have lvl 100+ crews, Germany and USSR 8 Slots lvl 130-150, mostly aced up from BR 1.0 to 7.0.
I must admit that I play this game way too often and did spend way too much money but if I played this game for over a decade and got some free GE every month I would have every vehicle, maximum crew slots and every crew on lvl 150 and aced for sure.
This was my favorite tank in Company of Heroes (CoH 1, the good one, the only one worth playing...). Completely deleted infantry blobs and bunkers.
I think this tank needs its BR raised a bit. Not cause the gun, the gun is a skill cannon. But because of the armor. At 2.7 its pretty much impossible to kill it unless you use some tank killer trucks. You really have to hit the mortar thats in the barrel to kill it at that BR.
how do you move the range while aiming at the target?
Whats the setting to scale the range of the optics while zooming in?

@@Fotaras06 it's in the aiming settings. Can't remember where the mouse wheel one was. I think that by default the mouse wheel changes zoom

So what this is is gaijins first effort to incorporate indirect fire into the game. Once the data from this is processed, be looking for m109 and Vidar to be able to fire indirectly and get kills behind hills and obstacles. Probably.
Petarda means firecracker in my language and besides it's namesake, it is used derogatory (as a slang) to describe useless stupid crap that breaks down fast.

Found out the hard way playing 1.7 tank RB with 87mm pen against this thing that not even with arty did i had luck against it

1 or 2 days ago I destroyed a Churchill AVRE in a 1.7 br match and I once I saw it before it neutralized it, I realized that it must be new and literally I neutralized it using a 37mm gun aiming down the barrel of the new Churchill AVRE and then above my tv screen it said Target Destroyed, and I was completely surprised that I actually neutralized one on the first battle against it.
Kinda silly using this vehicle for front line combat. It's an engineering vehicle designed for very specific uses by the Royal Engineers. Imagine bringing in one of the flail anti-mine tanks and trying to beat Panzers to death lol.
if they give this thing the same fire arc assistance that naval is getting with anti sub rockets, it will be a menace
I had a 10 kill no death game in this thing earlier. It's definitely going up in br 😂
Hard to say, because other heavy tanks easily get 10 kills, if anything I say fighting 1.7 tanks is harder than 3.7 tanks, they are smaller, faster and fire more often so they have more chances to ammorack you.
It's not going anywhere. Give it two weeks and you will barely see these things.
I guess people don't know how to kill it yet as well, eventually it'll be more likely that people will know where to shoot when they see one
No doubt this thing no way worth the grind its gonna be fun for a short time and that's about it because people can just shoot the barrel and it ones shots the Petard or you just gonna get CAS on you or if people were smart then would take something that has high pen like a tank destroyer and just shoot from fat and the petard cant do crap.
The SturmTiger you can actually kill enemy from the spawn and that was always fun waiting to see if you hit or killed an enemy tank.
It's completely stupid, and completely stupidly fun. Get a kill with it and you immediately giggle.
