Firebird / Hinotori (MSX) [original music]

"Firebird" (orig. Hinotori) was released 1987 by Konami. It's a vertical scrolling jump 'n' run game which became popular for its inimitably soundtrack.
This video is part of my current project "A Tribute to MSX". In this project I'm concerned with producing remakes of a selection of the most famous MSX computer games music. To give you also an impression of the original sounds, you will find all videos in two versions, one with the original game music and another one with the remake. Я словно вернулся на 22 года назад!!!! Файрбирд! "Комовская" игра. Игру эту можно найти вместе с эмулятором MSX. BlueMSX. Там и исходники игр COM и GM есть.

This video is running at 5/6ths (PAL) speed the game normally runs on a Japanese MSX2.

Maybe it's PAL (50 Hz) mode and not NTSC (60 Hz). It depends on the emulated machine which I don't know anymore. PAL is the standard mode here in Europe.

Yeah, you should run this game at 60Hz instead...

I am from the Middle East. I also grew up playing MSX games in 50Hz, therefore, my ears feel that this is the "normal" speed :)
