Great demo. I really appreciate the no frills raw tones approach. Too many pickup demos on YT are processed to hell and don’t tell me anything. To my ears the Lundgren is much clearer on those low strings, the note separation is pretty insane. The DD is still a beast though, and has been on tons of classic albums. For leads I thought the DD sang a bit better, and was less harsh than the Lundgren. But I prefer neck pups for leads anyways, so between these two I’d choose the Lundgren. The Lundgren is roughly twice the price (in North America anyways) so that will be a factor for lots of people.
Great to see you back making some videos again dude! Definitely agree with what you said about the M6 - sounded like it had a smidge more clarity across the board! Playing sounded killer too! 👊👊
Great demonstration on the solo leads... really shows the difference between 80s-style lead sound ( which is my fav) and the more modern era metal, like avenge sevenfold type lead sound... nicely done!
I already love the Distortion but the Lundgren sounds even better to me! The only thing I wonder is how is the sensitivity to harmonics with the Lundgrens? I could go crazy with harmonics on the Distortion when I had a guitar with one :D
The Lundgrens are definitely lower output, so it'd be a little harder to catch pinch harmonics and stuff like that, but it's still definitely possible! The overall vibe is you need to put in a little more work with the Lundgrens but the rewards are great!
I had that same guitar and I loved it but it had the worst fretwork even got a full leveling done and it still wasnt right. Your lucky you got a good one. Im a little jealous lol
The first one I got had a bunch of QC issues including a cracked fretboard and stained binding, I sent it back and luckily this one is perfect. When they get it right they really get it right, it's just a shame they can't get it right every time.

Came in for comparison, stayed for playing
That's a great a compliment as I could expect on this! Much appreciated 😁
killer video, both sound great. really liking the clarity of the lundgren for single notes.
The finish on that is insaaaane I’ve never seen that before
Isn't she lovely!

Appreciate you checking it out mate!
I just found you on my recommended. Sick playing and great reviews between the pickups. Definitely worth a sub 🤘🏼
Thank you very much! 😁

I don't consider myself much of a lead player so this is very much appreciated 😅 Thanks!

I think I still like the old school SD Distortion sound better....not gonna lie. It sounds balanced with a bite.
Can you split Lundgren m6 ?
Yes! I haven't tried splitting the coils yet but I have my neck pickup wired in parallel and it sounds great.
