OMGOSH, I can't believe you found a Limpet! Those are my favorite shells...been collecting them my entire life! It's hard enough to find them on the beach, and you found one in a fossil pile! If you and Cris, Jeremy & George ever make it out to our property, I'll show you my collection!
gotta say, these have been the most interesting and entertaining videos I've watched on RUclips in a long time (so many hours of videos). Love these vids and the channel as always, hope you're well and happy hunting from VA!
Wow!! I really hope you find a lot more of the horse, this is so exciting. I've never found a fossil shell, and I can't wait to find one. Perfect end to a long day, an awesome video from the Wildest of Kyles. Thank you!
A great place to learn about the different shells you found is to go to bailey Matthews shell museum on Sanibel island. They have many of the shells you have found but they're fresh they also have an aquarium that would make an awesome spot for a video.
Heck yeah! Just got back from hounding and see a kyle upload! Is a gewd day sir. Dude this spot looks like freaking heaven!😂 i can not get over it! Those shells are unvelievable. That's the stuff of dreams right there! Still have never managed to find a cowrie, someday hopefully👍 those big whelks and those murex are fantastic! My gosh i would lose my mind at this spot🤣yet another fantastic video man!
This spot is stunning 😃 So many shells and snails! 👍🏻 And also the shark teeth and the horse bones for sure ⛏️ Great video Kyle 😉 Many greetings from Germany 🇩🇪✌🏼
Thank you my friend! I love that this site keeps you busy with constantly finding really cool shells! Then it's just even more exciting when a shark tooth or bone shows up!
Once again I love everything you found. I didn't see the weird shell, with the hole in it, in your collection. Did you keep it? That was awesome. Can't wait for your next video ✌❤😃🙏
I was wondering where you were I just hadn’t gotten any notices lately but I’m glad you’re out and about and keeping busy it’s still pretty cold up here in the north I just want things to warm up a bit so I can start doing the gardening and the yardwork and then I can go foraging around for treasures
Make sure your notifications are turned on for my channel! It'll be a bell 🔔 icon under the video that you click on. I'm excited for you to be able to get out hopefully soon and look for some treasures!
Amazing hunt, was planning a night hunt myself today with a UV. The cowaries are definitely Siphocypraea carolinensis (which are extinct), I found some on my last hunt, they are just too cool. Sometimes the Bivalves hold, sometimes they don’t, I managed to find one by my mailbox that actually did. Also Very happy the horse is going to have a good home!
I have been watching this channel called SWF Beach Life. she is also in Florida. She is a sheller. its cool to watch her go on the beach and find all of these gorgeous colored shells and than watch you find the same shells but fossilized.
The shell that's kinda oblong and still together is a cardita and the neat one with a square hole on top is a keyhole limpet....one of my favorites...u don't find a ton of those...the lace murex are so fascinating...some really neat finds especially the horse bones...just a great d ay buddy....🤩
How have I a student of Malacology and a fossil hunter miss this ??!! Did you ever look up Edward? He wrote some great materials on fossils of florida shells. He'd for sure be able to identify your cone shell. He wrote a book on cone fossil shells of florida.
Beautiful finds ! I hope to make a trip down to peace river this summer and find similar treasures. For the time being though, do you have any good recommendations for fossil hunting spots near the St. Augustine/Daytona area?
Do you know where your friend got that organizer for the shells? That would come in handy for all the shells I found in Fort Myers a couple of weeks ago. 😊🐚
Hey @KyRock Gal ! I'm Chris in the video. I got that box from Home Depot. If you go in the toolbox or plastic tub section they have a lot of great organizers I use for all my fossil and rock hunts. I'm sure Lowes has the same but I'm a Home Depot man! Good luck hunting!
There is another murex without the spikes, someone in your group found one, it is an Apple Murex. I like the picklely cockle and the ark next to it. Those are some I have not found yet. I wish I was there too.
Hey Kyle, your upload timing was perfect! I have surgery tomorrow and I'm so nervous I can't sleep so this was a very nice distraction.🥰 Still mega jealous tho 🥺
Awesome video! So if I come to Florida can you take me on a shell or shark tooth hunting expedition? Also what happened to that pretty black shell you found?
The guy who lives back at the end of the driveway came out and chatted with me. He said he doesn't mind us parking there one bit and was just curious about what we were up to 🙂
I hope you are keeping all the horse together. Also I think it was a juvenile horse as the cannon did not seem to have the attached to the side bones, that I cant think of the name right now.
Unfortunately we don't have much of it that actually goes together 😭 there's a good chance only about 5-10% of the entire horse was even fossilized. But we'll see as we keep hunting!
Seriously a Frankenstein horse made out of multiple skeletons maybe some call other animal bits throw in some flames and I'm writing that into some random fantasy wara
* At 5:02 mark there were Flats & a White Ark that looks like a white Turkey Wing.. & one that looks like a Pear Welk.. Lace Murex, Kitten paw, White shell like a turkey Wing, & a Turban @ the 9:57 mark.. but you only take Olives.. Sad.. At the 18:36 mark you pointed at a Turkey Wing.
My childhood friend who moved away from Oklahoma to Florida hasn't returned in 7 years, I want to plan a trip down there and possibly get a group together to fossil hunt.... any tips? or recommendations on where to go would be greatly appreciated. Love yours and paleochris's channels!!!!!
I have seen several of the shells have perfect little holes in them, those are predation holes, some snails have a radula and feed on the bivalves, they bore a hole in one of the valves and open them and eat them.
The genus Natica probably did that. Octopus make small holes in shells also but the holes are smaller and look like they were sergically done with a laser in a single shot.
I'm not to sure about preservation in the Cenozoic but those horse bones look very well preserved, I would bet that most of the horse did preserve but because it was tumbled in the creak and you are finding it in such a scattered area I don't think you'll find all of it just because it is so scattered some of the smaller bones could be very far away by now and the larger bones if not broken up are likely up the creak as they wouldn't be as likely to move.
I live in the city of Antaliah on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey and I have news for you dude These fossils are still alive in our seas and I can send you a few living ones. You want a living one of these damn fossil creatures? 😜 You don't need to go back a few million years. 😉 Do not worry! I can send it to you by UPS and I will give a best discount for you 😁👍🏻 And why these are horse bones among the fossils? Could horses survive in the ocean a few million years ago? Omg this is so cool dude 😳
Hey Kyle! ive recently dug up a real head scratcher bottle. I was wondering if you could take a look at it and maybe know something about it? its a heavily embossed straight sided soda but im seeing a manufacturer label that ive never seen coca cola use.
Love the videos! Please keep them coming. Always fun and I learn just by watching. Thank you for taking us along.

Beautiful people, beautiful place, beautiful finds. What more could you ask?
❤️🙂
I love these vids! I feel like I’m right there with you. Thanks for the fun shows!
Wide Kyle always make me smile and laugh great video
“It’s raining shells, hallelujah”...🎶🐚
I'm amazed how well preserved those lace murexes were! Maybe I need to shell in a creek instead of the beach!😂
That was great. You all found some awesome fossils. Hope you find more of the horse in the future.
Pistachio face! 🤣😂🤣😂......I would have looked at you the same way......."Noooooo.....pistachio casualties!"
Awesome, I love shells so much! Great dig!♥️

All hail the magic conch!!!
I once thought I found a threelip shell, but it ended up just being a tulip shell with a cleft.
Dad joke. You’re welcome.

I am amazed at just how large and well preserved those shells were. That was awesome.
It really is incredible how nice they are!
I'm living for the horse finds!
Once again I love everything you found. I didn't see the weird shell, with the hole in it, in your collection. Did you keep it? That was awesome. Can't wait for your next video ✌❤😃🙏

How old are these shells, they are in pretty good shape.
Would love to go on a hunt over that way when the world opens up again.
Well done Kyle

I Love so much videos like this ♥️♥️ . Great find, I hope next time you can find the most beautiful shell's in the world 😁😁 👍.
Awesome collection, simply beautiful. It would be totally awesome if you guys found all the bones to that horse. Cheers

Awesome video, awesome finds! Thanks for the great video. Love it! I love that lace murex shell! That one is my favorite
Great video Kyle!!! Love all the videos.
Thank you very much Lynn! 🙂
Kyle, really appreciate the video. Been deal with a ton of bs lately and this video really makes up for it. Thank you!
Oh horse 'conch'. I heard that differently the first couple of times. I wondered how that part of the horse got fossilised...
Great finds. 👍💓✌👣🌲
Kyle! You keep looking for that horse! I’ve always wanted a pony!

Man, what a place.... 👊💪
You guys are really entertaining
Unrelated to this video, but that Hastalis tooth in matrix you found in Chris's latest video was a hell of a find. Such a great display piece.
Thank you my friend! It was an exciting find!
What is the name of her channel?
I would absolutely love to go rock hunting at this location. Where is shell creek located?
Go back to the spot that you found the horse bone on another day you and Derick and Paleo Christmas time and see if you can find some more of it
I wish I lived closer I want to go hunting with you!!!!
Awesome shells!
What an amazing spot to find the shells..
The variety and preservation at this site is amazing!
Y’all are some cool dudes. Love your video. New to your channel
dude i so wanna go fossil hunting with you and the boys! but i'm from belgium so yeah but great video and great finds

You can make candles out of the bigger shells!

Nice, apparently the horse hangs out in the creek.

Any tips for beginner rock, shell and fossil hunters in Florida?

Hi Kyle I just have a question for you how do you know if a shell is a fossil???

@@WILDKYLE yes it Can it is the best videos with fossil hunting on RUclips and the same with paleo chris
Us Floridians are just too spoiled with fossils, even the parking lots have them.
Were you digging in Whelkingham? 😆😆😆
Kyle, what causes the variation in color on each individual shell?
I have seen several of the shells have perfect little holes in them, those are predation holes, some snails have a radula and feed on the bivalves, they bore a hole in one of the valves and open them and eat them.
That's awesome I was thinking they must have been predation holes! Thank you for the info!
The genus Natica probably did that. Octopus make small holes in shells also but the holes are smaller and look like they were sergically done with a laser in a single shot.
Am I the only one who hears “horse conch” and giggles like a five year old? Lol

You should do a florescent shell hunt at night in that creek.
Will any of these floress like your roadside ones?
