I have bought this radio a few months ago, and I have never had any problems with it! Receives a lot of radio stations on SW, MW, VHF (FM) bands! Also the orange backlight of the display is very nice 😁.
RDS helps me to see more info about radio stations on FM band a lot!

I got this radio and it is PERFECT!! Well, I wish it had a button backlight but anyway, I love it!
I love the features of these radios. The SSB feature lets me tune into amateur radio phone and cw transmissions and I get good receiption even with just the telescoping antenna. I only wish the longwave was more sensitive and went below 150 khz so I could listen to some VLF transmissions.

Please, for the next radio, add these two features:
- Light toggle mode switch - ON/OFF/AUTO ("ON" - Permanently On / "OFF" - Permanently Off / "AUTO" - On for a few seconds when interacting with the radio controls)
- Tuning mode toggle switch - VF/VM (VF - Tune freq. / VM - Cycle through memorized stations) The page memory system is the worst I've seen in any electronic device
Also have the range go to 162.400 megahertz (MHz), 162.425 MHz, 162.450 MHz, 162.475 MHz, 162.500 MHz, 162.525 MHz, and 162.550 MHz NOAA frequencies
I agree. The Sihuadon/Radiwow R-108 at least has a VM button and the memories can be browsed through without using the clunky page memory system.
AFAIK the digital display Tecsun radios (those without SSB) have the capability to configure the backlighting mode to On/Off/Auto. The D-808 can have its backlight turned on permanently or automatic off, but not permanently off.
I would like to ask some doubts before buying the Radio
Does the new version have only different screen color, or there are other improvements?

SIHUADON D-808 нормальный аппарат,в отличии от XHDATA D-808 у него янтарная подсветка (не слепит глаза) и корпус черного цвета в отличии от
XHDATA D-808.
Пользуюсь уже месяц,только положительные эмоции!!!
P.S.На черном фоне цифровые и буквенные надписи читаются отлично!!!

I believe that the screen is only amber on the Sihuadon brand D-808? Please advise.
@@johnbeckham1483 Yes, only on the Sihuadon version. But otherwise, the radios are the same.
@@johnbeckham1483 The official XHDATA store on the Lazada e-commerce platform informed me that all new D-808 units (whether branded as Sihuadon or XHDATA) no longer come with the white LED illumination, but amber.
The reason given was they received feedback from customers that the white LED was too bright for viewing the display in the dark, so from now on the lighting is now a "pleasant warm yellow".
It's a shame because I prefer the cool looking bluish white LED, which makes the D-808 stand out from all the amber backlit Tecsun radios. 😞

On my xhdata d-808 receiver the word "Timer" is constantly flashing on the top line of the screen. Is there any way to remove it from the screen?

Hi. I received my XHDATA D808 this month with the amazing Amber display color.
It's a very sensitive receptor but with a annoying mute 🔇 during the tunning... I dislike that. Anyone know how to solve that?
Instead that, it is a super small radio. FM RDS is a must!
No, you nor I can fix this. it's an inherent issue of DSP based radios, it's how they operate, has something to do with the DSP chipset used in these radios. the manufacturers are the only ones that can do anything to fix it, and that would require them making a new radio without said issue.

Yes I too have the broken antenna foot after 2 years, using it with the supplied wire now, the radio itself is very good

la compré por q vi en el anucio una foto del interior con 6 bobinas ....hoy la abrí y la desepcion hermano .No tiene bobinas no sirve para sw ,,, ahora entiendo la poca recepcion en frecuencia sw , el sintinizador de trinquete se apaga el sonido en cada paso . Deberia iluminar teclado, punto a fabor fm muy bien y fine tuning perfecto

Are the internal electronics and the firmware similar between the new Sihuadon D-808 and the XHDATA D-808? I just ordered a black Sihuadon D-808 from the XHDATA official store on the Lazada e-commerce platform.

Sihuadon is black and has a red on/off switch, XHData is grey and has an orange on/off switch. Both are the exact same radios.
@@L1RW It turned out that the black Sihuadon D-808 was a limited run branding. My online seller has informed me that XHDATA is reverting to its grey colored units. I did a check with the XHDATA store and found that it ran out of the Sihuadon version. I got no further information as to why the D-808 was sold as both Sihuadon and XHDATA brands but I've been told that the manufacturer has no plans to replenish the black Sihuadon stocks once they have been depleted.
And yes, the Sihuadon version comes with the red power button as you said.
The Sihuadon may be different in terms of firmware, as some people saw differences in terms of noise levels on the bands.
