This small space is giving cozy secretive “French Cafè” vibes
If I may suggest changing the square table with a smaller size round table to make it your own cafè room where you edit and enjoy your coffee.
The hutch and wall decor is perfection….

Liz put that huge hutch in the room you created last week with the two chairs. Swap the credenza with the hutch. Use the table as a desk with only one chair. Definitely recover the chair. If possible place the desk facing the window like you gave it with a chair in the back side behind the credenza you swapped for the hutch. This should create a nice desk area for you to decorate as an office without to much work.

Your Pink Drill is so cute. I’ve always been so impressed with how you are so adept at putting things on the wall. The hutch looks great placed there; almost like it’s built-in. You’ve taken your decorating and photography up many notches! I think it’s because of your usage of artwork instead of signs. I enjoy using paintings as backdrops for vignettes. 🎉 🧡 Janet

Again, you nailed it. If you think the room feels closed in as it is small, maybe a small round Bistro table with 2 chairs? Great space for morning coffee or a lite lunch. You showed your other little sitting room with 2 chairs so personally I don’t think you need two similar spaces. Love your new decor style….glad the farmhouse is behind us now. Happy weekend!

Love that cozy room’s multipurpose potential to complement the rest of the downstairs! You could easily use it, as is, for a morning coffee room, a small project room and a portable office space. I like the table against the window. It feels quaint and inviting. It also helps bring the outdoors inside and, therefore, make the room feel more spacious. Maybe add a small flowering tree or fragrant flowering shrub outside the window to add even more ambiance and open the window to the fresh morning air?
I also like the versatile size of the table. How about a woodworker reshaping the table’s ornate French Country inspired apron to a more subtle mission styled shape? And maybe reupholster the chair cushions with a solid black rustic weave fabric that would help ground that white table space? Then you could add a small two-drawer corner cabinet to keep basic office supplies at hand or, instead, use a couple of matching covered cubed storage baskets, side by side, on the floor under your lovely hutch.
That table could also make a great out-of-the-way project surface to gather, open and coordinate your new shopping finds, address Christmas cards, create holiday or floral displays, etc., with no immediate pressure to clear it for family or kitchen use….

I vote no for a small cozy sitting area. You already have one plus bonus room and living room..careful not to get too many sitting areas in one home. Maybe try a smaller table in that one room and use the other to place things on in storage.
Love the little room. It can also be an office or a relaxation room with two chairs and an end table for enjoying coffee or a glass of wine. Like you always say "lots of options".

This Santa Barbara style really appeals to me! I've loved it for years but never knew that's what it was called. It has a beachy vibe, yet very sophisticated. I'm a west coast girl too and I think that look is in my blood! Love it! Good job Liz.

Such a fun room for yourself! I am inspired! Tip… you can add fluff to your curtains by cutting a toilet paper roll in half and putting them on the rod between “pleats”.

Liz you could take the arches to a glass place and have mirrors added to thw back. I did that with a metal garden piece. Love it. Then youd get the reflection you want. Love everything about this area. So interesting. You certainly keep us on our toes with new ideas. Thanks.

Love everything. I really like the curtains. My dad had his own drapery business in the 70’s through 80’s. He would cringe if draperies were not lined, he always said the white should show from the street. He passed 19 years ago and would have a fit if he saw mine-none lined 😆

When I looked at this lovely room I had thoughts of how one might decorate it in the same approach as a powder room when the star of the show is wallpaper. I think that would look amazing in that room. The furnishings could two simple swivel chairs and a small round table .I do think the hutch is too oversized for the scale of that room. The home is gorgeous whatever you do, thanks for sharing with us.

Hi Liz- happy you’re enjoying your beautiful new home. I do really like the Sta Barbara style- farmhouse has had its moment…I believe this Sta Barbara blends well with many different styles and is not as repetitive as the Farmhouse decor, with all the signage.
Like other comments suggest, that small room would look so lovely with a bistro cafe style round table and just a couple of chairs. Maybe if you have a basement or bonus room, you can use that square table as a game table or even as a desk. Keep on giving us great content. Love ya- Evelyn from Pembroke Pines, FL❤

I watch your videos every time they come out. I love it. You have a your own style. It is great. Have you ever thought of hanging your curtains as close to the ceiling as possible. This gives the allusion of a larger space.
Loving the new direction you are taking this home in. May I suggest a banquet and round table in your small room. You would gain more seating and storage.

Wow Liz, the room turned out very nice. You were good to shrink the table to the smaller size, add curtains and your other wall embellishments, but the wow was when you added those two art prints!
