Another great installment, thank you It is fun to learn about the guns & calibers they are built around. I have seen these at Gun Shows & in shops over the years, but had no way to learn their stories. 3:17 .256 Hawkeye 6:10 .22 Remington Jet (.357 necked down to .22) 7:54 .22lr chamber inserts for the .22 Rem Jet 9:20 XP100 .221 Rem Fireball (Shortened .223 case) 10:54 Herter's Catalog
I have the Hawkeye. It's a three digit Sn 756. I have a original box of Winchester ammo and a 1962 Guns and Ammo magazine with the write up in the Hawkeye. Nice video
Xp-100 is a fantastic firearm! Have owned several in .221 fireball! Wonderful combination of firearm and caliber! Yes it lives up to its name of fireball!
Yes....Pleeeeease make a video on all the materials needed to reload for the Remington Fireball XP-100... .you will be the only RUclipsr to have done this tutorial. I have over 600 spent .221 cartridges and would love to learn the art of reloading....Thank You!
Nice video to remember these firearms. My bil had the 22 Jet that included inserts for shooting 22 rimfire cartridges. When I got a Ruger Hawkeye it became my favorite to shoot. The pressures really weren't as much an issue as case setback was when bottleneck cartridges were used in revolver cylinders. Your Hawkeye is awesome, a very nice example!
i would like a single-shot bolt-action pistol based an the Ruger M77 Hawkeye & Chambered in .500 Ruger (.416 Ruger blown out to a straight case) Could you imagine a 500gr @2,250fps from a 12" barrel? 🤔 😳 😨 😭😭😭
Help… Would the 22 Rem Jet be considered a 22 Rem Jet Magnum? I have a Topper Model 58 rifle and don’t know if there are two different types. All of the ammo I see that can be bought says 22 Jet Rem Mag. Thanks in advance.
