The cross is NOT the power of God. It is CHRIST. Not the CROSS. And It is not written there that we use the CROSS as symbol. In fact in other Bible verse HEBREWS 12:2 saying that we keep our eyes to Jesus. The verse mentioned that it is SHAMEFUL to be nailed to a cross. So please, STOP using cross as symbol of Christianity. Jesus was ashamed to be nailed to the CROSS but he endured. And here you are keeps on reminding Jesus about that CROSS.
The message is that for them is hard to believe that God came to earthin a human form just to be cursed on the cross but beyond human intelligence is it the power of God being displayed their so that those who believes that Jesus was crucified on the cross is the gospel.. yes you were right it was Jesus and not the cross itself is the power of God
