One of the things I ALWAYS disagreed with this show on; in most geek circles, the guy who owns the comic book shop is always "The Cool Guy" to us, because he is the guy who has all the connections and is up to date on all the nerdy comic news. Stuart's first season on the show is much more accurate to the comic book shop owners I know. But in later episodes, he becomes so much more inept than the rest of the guys.
@michellepeace5969 For the character, yes, but it gave the actor more comedic range. I think the turning point was when he adlib-ed "I love you". The actor said he started to receive more lines after he did that.
FYI, a comic store can't just order a new copy of an older comic, even if it's just a couple years old... the only way comic stores get older comics is when people come in and sell their comics to them
14:47 One of my favorite things I've read about this subject is Isaac Asimov's "The Relativity of Wrong." The main point I recall was how it recalled to the debate about the shape of the earth. The single line that I like to quote is, "When people thought the Earth was flat, they were wrong. When people thought the Earth was spherical, they were wrong. But if you think that thinking the Earth is spherical is just as wrong as thinking the Earth is flat, then your view is wronger than both of them put together."
This episode illustrates why i don't read comic books. Too many series, and if you haven't read every issue of every series you're not considered a real fan.
Well that's just not true, and why do you care if others think you're a 'real fan' or not? When you get a little older it will be easier to do what you want and not let others, especially strangers, control your life.
I wish there were comic book stores like that today, they are pretty rare and it isn't a lucrative business idea since most people buy everything on internet, even searches for the comic books they are looking for It was so awesome to look through them and finding stuff u wanted to read, the comic book store in my city closed down when I was just 12 Penny falling for the comic book guy maybe means she has opened up to nerds without knowing it 🙂
To Sheldon, you're either perfect or you're trash. Thus he won't settle for anything less than 100%. Which is ironic because his biggest idol was a mediocre student before he became one of the biggest names in science. Last episode was the last we see of Alicia, but this isn't the last we see of Stuart. And personally, Tim Drake should be Batman's successor. Dick Grayson is Nightwing and Jason Todd is Red Hood.
@@Emburbujada agreed. The Comic Book Guy, aka the man or woman who owns our local comic shop, is always the coolest person in Comic Geek circles and the one we look up to since they own their own business and have all these great books. Stuart's first season on the show was fun and funny, and he was a great character. The idea of making him more inept than the rest of the guys just never rang true to me. I mean, come on! The dude hangs out with celebrities to play D&D and collectible card games. That alone would increase his confidence over the other guys by huge margins.
I found this online so I’m not 100% if it’s correct but the joke is that the physicist believes there are greater odds of matter turning into a woman than a woman falling in love with him.
Bro I've rewatched BBT cuz I'm a massive fan but the episode where Sheldon's mom came in and started saying the ch-word didn't aged well and it wasn't THAT long ago lol.
Sheldon’s mom is freaking hilarious! 😆😆 Love her. The jokes absolutely age well my dude. The running gag is that she literally doesn’t know any better and is being socially ignorant. She doesn’t actually mean any harm by anything she says. She is just that clueless about those things. There’s a difference between people who maliciously say things; and people who do it on purpose and with intent. You just gotta be able to tell the difference. As a Hispanic having been raised in NYC (very diverse) you learn to tell the difference. You also learn to not be so super sensitive. Some things are worth getting upset about, .....but most things just make you roll your eyes, shrug your shoulders, and move on. No big deal.
@@theshadowfax239 You may have to watch the episode where Sheldon’s mom says it. I doubt anyone will type it out because then they’ll be accused of using a racial slur even though they were just answering your question.
"Stuart has shown himself to be much more self assured and exudes a lot less of a desperate vibe, at least so far" ... these words will haunt you.

@@Skye_Writer he did it to himself when he screwed up his line and said "i love you"
Yeah I feel they did Stuart's character dirty in the end.

Hellblazer is the comic book series featuring John Constantine.
*The Big Bang Theory* is one of my favorite sitcoms.
Same
The suspension bridge joke is one of my favorites in this entire series.
Hellblazer is a great recommendation. Good Stuart.
I heard that Disney is in talks to obtain the rights to make a Captain Sweatpants movie.

“Knock, knock, knock, Penny” 😁❤️
When Stuart could out wit Sheldon and could have had Penny in bed... I really don't care how his character changed after this.
Shame they ruined him

@@Emburbujada never really get why they did stuart like that..i liked how cool and charming he was in this episode
Damn now I’m really curious about your line 😅
Miles Morales hadn´t been created yet when this episode was aired
I think the only time Miles morales was first introduced was the second volume of ultimate spdierman.
When did he mention that? I must have miss3d it.
I had something clever to comment but I completely forgot when i heard Rutteen 😂 Lmao Eric
Damn Stuart had a chance to hook up with Penny and missed out
Yeah, "You wanna come in for a cup of coffee?" is my generation's "Netflix and chill"
U are so smart & likable & funny. U give nerds like me hope.
Zork is so old it didn't even pictures!
Oh, yes, she even went out with Stuart.
Great video, I enjoyed your reactions!
Kripke and Stuart are both recurring characters.
You've probably seen already, but Alicia is not a recurring character. She was a one off that never shows up again.
‘I need this for my Batman collection.’
‘Well I need it for my Robin collection.’
Sorry Sheldon, you lose.
I love how Raj is the one who can’t talk to women but gets the most sex in the earlier seasons xD
Barry kripke will be recurring
Bawwy Kwipke 😁😁
Seeing Stuart like this is so... weird.
Miles Morales is Ultimate Spider-man. He takes over the mantle eventually.
In my opinion, Tim Drake; the third Robin would be the better successor to the Batman title.
That shirt will become important for your future reactions of a different show. Would you happen to have one in lime-green and orange?
Stuart can be very smooth. Too bad he has low self-esteem and the soul of an 80-year old man
Not yet he doesn't. Well, not in Season 2, anyway. They really devolved his character later.
