HD Remaster of the music video by Sinéad O'Connor performing Nothing Compares 2 U. Taken from the album 'I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got'
Lyrics:
It's been seven hours and fifteen days
Since you took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since you took your love away
Since you been gone, I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
But nothing
I said nothing can take away these blues
'Cause nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
It's been so lonely without you here
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
Tell me baby, where did I go wrong?
I could put my arms around every boy I see
But they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor, guess what he told me
Guess what he told me
He said, "Girl you better try to have fun, no matter what you do"
But he's a fool
'Cause nothing compares,
nothing compares to you
All the flowers that you planted mama
In the back yard
All died when you went away
I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard
But I'm willing to give it another try
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

RIP my Irish sister ☘️🙏☘️. Great, great...pik! Ty NE. Slainte mate 🏴☠️☘️🇺🇲
What a great soul
Sinead is an Irish name pronounced (Shin Aid) translated to English the name means Jane. Great song.
J'ai aimé ta facon d''expliquer l'historique de sinead, elle etait unique comme voix ,malgré ces up and down comme plusieur hamain, merci pour ton ouverture d'esprit 😊
Sinead version was a no1 hit in around 20 countries worldwide, and was named one of the best songs in the 1990s,a masterpiece! Great reaction thanks 🙏
J'aprouve ❤❤
I believe that, when Prince used the term “mama” in this song, he was making a familial reference to the woman who left him that this song is about. Sometimes, especially if children have been produced in a relationship, the couple will refer to each other as mama and/or papa. So, in my opinion, the reference is still directed toward the subject person in the song but using the term “mama” instead of “girlfriend” or “woman” or some other phrase.
Her live version (in Brazil, I believe) is captivating. She sings with her whole body. May want to watch just for yourself. Thanks for sharing.
I will check it out
Chris Cornell did it as well. i love that one as well...but Sinead's is just stunning.
I saw them both, and Princeis awesome, but Sinead OWNED this song. But listen to Princes…we find different meanings from different artists.
I would like to suggest you listen to "Troy". The title was inspired by a poem by Yeats ("Why, what could she have done, being what she is?
Was there another Troy for her to burn?") which is about her mother. It's very, very powerful.
Watch her sing this live 🥺🥺❤️✌🏻
Sinead oh Connors mother died while driving her car on an icy road and lost control of her car and crashed in to a bus. This happened in 1985. Her mother was only 45.
Fantastic reaction video. She had your complete attention. Can’t ask for more than that. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Her mother, with whom she had a hard relationship, died not long before the filming of this video. It is a song about a lost romantic relationship, originally from a man's perspective Prince, but they kept the "momma" in the song, even though it was not gender correct. Very powerful stuff.
Chris Cornell has the best version of this song!!!!!
Prince wrote this song when he was 8 years old. His mother helped with the lyrics, but he did the instrumental and engineering.
WOW! what a song!! Are there other songs that he wrote for other people?
Janne de arche❤
Jeanne d'Arc.
@@Caambrinus like Jeanne D Arc,Virgin of Orleans, who died after fire
Her name is pronounced shi-naid.
