My father was filming our family watching this program, I had just turned 2 years old - 64 now, always wondered what it was, and finally googled it. I have maybe 10 seconds of it on the silent home move, just ordered a cd out of curiosity. Yes, please release the whole thing if you can, history should remember this.
My God - where did you find this kinescope clip? Had been hoping to get a glimpse of this show for years. I remember blowing that birthday candle out on the screen! Any other segments of this long lost, over-the-top production?
Watched this in early '57; my father had brought home a record..probably a '45..with a few songs, prior to the broadcast. AT 1:33, that's the great Gilbert & Sullivan comic Martyn Green (L) and Matt Mattox, who played "Caleb" (in the yellow shirt) in 7 Brides for 7 Brothers (R). Love the Rexall Promo (there was a Rexall about a block away from our house back in '57).
