This popped up on my feed and I'm so glad it did bc it was really fun to watch. Thank you and well done! Harry's acting definitely has room to grow but considering how new he is to this, he was quite impressive. I'd understand (and actually kind of expect it) if someone as green as him had some level of poor/cringe performance but for the most part he didn't. I've seen a lot of terrible acting, even from those who do this for a living or have had plenty of experience. Harry was not bad. Plus, he's had practice along the way in the last decade+ besides just Dunkirk, Eternals and My Policeman. He's done commercials, talk show skits, tv show episodes and so on. Do music videos count as acting practice? 😂 As for Gemma Chan's character killing Chris Pine's character.. She wanted to take over with the Victory project.
Thank you so much for watching! I agree that his performance was to be expected. It just sucks that it was a movie that had other elements stacked against it.
@@clipsandcoffee My pleasure! And I agree with you, as well. So much going on with the movie, unfortunately. There's plenty to say in critique of just the film, in and of itself, but once you add in everything else happening surrounding the making of the film.. oof.
So I think the biggest issue with Harry's acting, that people have, is how the accent was explained (seem s like a last minute adjustment) and that he is acting very loudly, not in a subtle way as Florence or Chis (e.g. my personal favorite is when he yells in the car / it's just - unintentionally - too funny). But that's not just on him, it's the pairing of people he was on screen with and the person directing him *cough* *cough* edit1: haven't finished yet, so - the dancing scene is awkward because it's paired with the bathroom scene, and yes, Olivia is not great either :D edit2: yes, the issue it that the movie does not make a lot of sense, but regardless I enjoyed your reaction as always :)
I also made my decision to watch this because it was on HBOMAX! It felt like a wannabe Stepford Wives adaptation with less plot development up front. I did enjoy the costumes, the cars, and of course Ms. Pugh. I think Olivia got lost in the feel of the film and had to meet a deadline.

Yea that explanation is weird! Why couldn’t he just have been a British man down on his luck 😂
Thanks for the support 🥰
This deserves more views omg
But yeah, the movie sort of had potential but it didn't come together
Thanks for the support! 😭

That’s it! Everything just got lost - the script rewrites, the recasting and directing being off, it all showed
