First heard this in Primary school (Mid 70s) during Music Class, Teacher sang, all followed. Carefree days of sweet Innocence and late mom's doting love
This song, when I heard it , it bring my memory back when I was a little girl, just such a magnificent song. Its so amazing listening to this song always, to the Singer , Danyel Gerard for brought this song🎶🎵 your a magnificent singer !..❤️😘😍👍👌👄
FINALLY I FOUND THIS!! This song is my childhood! Barbeque parties in the summer at our carport back in 2009-2015! Man those were great times! Thank you soooo much for uploading this! GOD BLESS YOU!!
I've been searching this song for a long time, and I am ecstatic to finally find. This song has a special place in my heart, this use to be our grandma's lullaby for us, her grand child.I used to think that this was an original song of her hahhaha 'coz I never heard it from anyone.
Same here; I always searched for like ,,butterfly you must be free" and never found it, til today, I found the french (I think its the original) version of it. Then I just copied the description title and searched for the english version :D
Spanish and French versions have better lyrics, just because they're closer languages, and I believe the French version was the first one. But the English one sounds good too. If you can understand French or Spanish then those versions are worth a listen
When I came in from physical therapy today, I noticed a blue butterfly sticker on my deceased next door neighbor's door and this song immediately came to my mind. Have always thought this a beautiful but really never listened to the lyrics. Well, it got me thinking; wonder who placed the sticker there. Then it struck me. It was Betty that placed it on the door and apparently she must be familiar with this song. You see, Betty was Boyd's special friend and have been told they were engaged for about six years. Where we live is an apartment complex for ages 62 years and up. This song resonants in do many ways.
Whenever I hear the Franck Pourcel instrumental version of this I immediately recall an out of body experience in which I encountered God in a distant galaxy. I wanted to stay but I had unfinished business back home. Now that I hear the lyrics; it all makes sense.
Thank you!! It's my favourite version of this song. Is it from a CD? If yes, I 'd like to have an information about the title of the CD. I've already ordered a few CDs where this title appeared on but the english version i wanted was totally different and not from 1971 as the original.

She is so wonderful, but he is leaving her and expects her to wait for him. Total looser.
There were many songs composed and sung about being apart, most were due to war or other military activity. Think!!
