I think Cypher's ult should be more like Sova's dart and should actively ping the enemies location through its duration , Other than that I would increase his range for his tripwire and spy cam, but only make one of these changes

I think his ult is in a good place now honestly. With the second ping with a slight delay, it's a lot easier to read what's going on and made a mid-round call based off that.
A small tip for his tripwire. If you go to place it. Croutch then place it at headlevel. Where the line should match up with your head. This makes it so sky dog and fade prowler won't trigger the wire. (Unless sky dog jumps...shit...) This tip helps with setting up defense alot. Also, using cam for flank watch is also very good to do instead of trips. You can use his trips kinda aggressively whenever your team gets a site. Throw them up around the site to help stop defending team just push onto site for free. His cam has some gnarly spots you can rat it out. Some I guarantee you are very hard to find on your own. But look up Acre, Spawns, Peak or hell maybe even dasnerth has some lineups. Cypher is an agent that has a high skill floor and an even higher skill ceiling. So if you don't want to learn, just play killjoy lmfao
I started playing cypher a couple of games ago and I gotta say I really enjoy playing him. But I couldn't find a lot of good uses for the cage. This video definitely helped with that!

@MyDudePari But what if your whole team dies and you have to play by yourself? Or even worse...your team is useless and you have to carry them, but you obviously cant due to this low self heal? I can understand that they wanted to punish selfish Sage players who only heal themselfes, but the heal should atleast be buffed to 50hp to bring back battle Sage.
I think Neural Theft and Spycam need a buff. Neural Theft should show the exact location of enemies during the ult which can make the ult seven points and spycam's cooldown (45 seconds) is way too long.
Immortal cypher main here, imo cypher is to weak caompared to kj utillity, but buffing him is rly hard since it would make him op. i think tuning down trips to 150, or beeing able to pick up a cage mid round like viper does would be cool. but knowing riot he wont get buffed, but kj will get nefed.
The only rule to get good anywhere: experiment, that's all it is, I've learned way too many ways to play Cypher and unique strategies that confuse enemies
Cypher's skillet has always seemed complicated and scary to me, but this has made it seem so much less complicated then I previously thought

Hi new valo and cypher player here. Do I place it higher for like razes drone and stuff like that so they don't trigger the trip?
@@ode175. placing the trip at head level whilst crouching should not get hit by any sort of utility like skye dog.

Placing a trip at eye level while crouching puts it at the prefect hight where you can't jump over or crouch under it.
