- I interviewed Scott Brown ahead of his first home game in charge of Ayr United. It was a hard fought game v Dundee United. I also spoke to goalscorer Tony Watt. Two former Celtic heroes now plying their trade in the SPFL Championship.

Can we all just stop for a minute and listen to what Scott Brown said when asked why he joined Ayr United. “The club has ambition”.
Ayr United are making the biggest investment in the HISTORY of the club in order to build a new modern, state-of-the-art stand. Ayr United have ambitions to become a Premiership club and you know what? They’re acting like it.
Dermot Desmond, Peter Lawwell and every other member of the board at Celtic Football Club should take note of that and be EMBARRASSED!
It’s glaringly obvious that Celtic need to redevelop and modernise the main stand but yet we’re told we don’t have the finances for it. Dermot Desmond is a MULTI-BILLIONAIRE! Why can he never put his hand in his pocket and just give the club a bit of a boost towards progression?
Ayr United have nowhere near the backing that Celtic have, not even in the same stratosphere. Yet they manage to find the ambition to take the club forward into a new era whereas at Celtic we’re stuck with the same dinosaurs in charge who do nothing but leech off the club and suck it dry.
Anyway, I don’t really mean to make this about Celtic but I couldn’t help myself when I see the ambition of Ayr United. Well done to all involved 👏👏👏
Totally agree in fact it’s 30 years old this year time for a complete upgrade better facilities bars etc revamp the entire place.

I'm a Fleetwood fan and think he should have been given longer than he was . Replacing him with Lee Johnson was a disaster, not a popular figure within the club by all accounts Mr Johnson. We are starting to look a little better under Charlie Adam now hes starting to get his style across , we were brilliant against Port Vale yesterday. All the best Scotty gutted to see u leave im sure youll smash it

I remember he did a kit launch at Celtic I worked security at Celtic park the guy stayed and signed autographs for every single supporter that was there a good few hundred no joke. Other players sneaked out or signed a few broony signed every one that’s what makes him a legend.

Cant see scott doing much with Ayr unless hes given the funds to build or secures some quality loan signings via his connections. Anyway, to your irrelevant point...St.Mirren sacked Alex Ferguson. They also sacked Gus McPherson after he won a cup. Aberdeen did the same to Alex Smith. The old Rangers sacked Scot Symon, 6 months after he had taken them to a European final. They were top of the league and had just beaten the reigning European champions when he got his jotters.
Claudio Ranieri won the EPL with Leicester and got bagged months later. Ancelloti won a double with Chelsea then came 2nd and was bagged. DiMatteo won the Champions League and was sacked soon after. Del Bosque won 7 trophies in 4 years at Real Madrid but was still sacked. They also sacked Capello after he won the league.
Fleetwood had severe off the field issues but Brown took them further in the FA Cup than they had ever been and in his only full season finished 13th.
He wasn’t a good footballer, he was average. Years ago Celtic won the league because Brown was injured and they played Barry Robson. People said at the time they wouldn’t have won it with Brown.
