- Both myself and Phil are running the RK Signature Titanium exhaust now. I paired it with the AMS catted downpipe and Phil has a catless downpipe. I honestly cant decide which one I like better. What do yall think? Phil's HKS blowoff valve sounds insane though.. That might have to be my next mod...

Catted sounds more mature, not obnoxious. Both sound good but I like a cleaner sound! (that's why i recirc'd my wastegates on my MK4)

imo i would go catless and if i would have the rk signature titanium i would adjust the burble to less aggressive in bm3. Been 2 months i have my banana supra 2021 (tunable) and this will be my first mod, a catless downpipe with the stock exaust to see how i like the sound.

I’m on the fence. Catless is less expensive and likely better for performance gains and efficiency but the smell is horribly unbearable

Yes, you can pass state inspections with catless. There are only 2 catless downpipe that has a built in cat defouler that doesn't pop a cel. Armytrix catless DP and Kenji Garage DP. I have no issue passing state inspection with it, I have over 10,000 miles on my armytrix catless dp. Keep in mind that some catted DP will give you CEL

All the catless downpipe are pretty much the same. Since my Supra is tuneable no need to get one with a defouler

If you go catless, get the armytrix catless dp. It's the only one that doesn't throw a check engine light
i mean either way it’s voiding your warranty, well the toyota dealership said any dp would void power train warranty
on the other hand, the b58 is reliable asf so i wouldn’t really think you would have any problems with the power train.

Catless DP with stock exhaust sounds really nice. When you decide you want more volume, go for a aftermarket catback system (please do not get tomei because they sound like shit and the ones for the supra aren't even made by tomei themselves). For catless go with armytrix or kenji garage; both have built in cat defouler so no cel and you can pass emissions for your inspection. Personally on my supra, I have over 10,000 miles on my armytrix catless DP with no issues - I'm still on stock tune and car runs normal.
