[Edit] a bit of googling says that, apparently they have to serve on the 1st of Jan of the proceeding year once you turn 18 in Taiwan. So presumably, he doesn't have to do it right away. If he grinds from now till September, that's like 4 month of solid work, which can probably get around 32 videos (as in proper ones, not react type stuff) then, viewership properly dips a little towards xmas? as in everyone is with their ifamily, and ad sense is bad in Jan anyways.
