Another fun episode. Yes, the foods in this one were looking quite tasty. So the reason why Xiao Zhan is so concerned about gaining weight here is in this period of time, he was going back and forth between doing weekend runs of his theater drama (A Dream Like a Dream) in different cities (hence the vlogs at different cities) and filming for The Longest Promise. It seems that for ancient costume dramas such as The Longest Promise, any added weight looks not so good on screen and so for a lot of these costume dramas, the actors have to slim-down more so than usual.
Hangzhou is famous for its beautiful scenery. There is a saying in Chinese : Up above there is heaven; down below there are Suzhou and Hangzhou. But I never been there 😂 West lake is the most famous place in Hangzhou, as there is a popular love legend between a guy and a white snake who cultivated over 1000 years, transformed to human and repay a favour from that guy’s past life

Shallot is like spring onion.... XZ doesn't eat a lot of carbs... any pasty is usual high... Zhan did used to carry a little more weight in his uni /Xnine days.. I think he looked healthier to be honest... but he has a bit of trouble with bloating (in the face) when he eats too many carbs... and it doesn't look good (to him) on camera... Like Yibo, I truly think XZ looks good all the time ... regardless of what weight he is... in The Untamed, they were both way too skinny whilst they were filming the parts where they were supposed to be teenagers.... XZ is such a good boss... he is so polite and respectful to his staff... always looking out for them.. making sure they eat and rest ...
