- Can you beat Dark Souls remastered without souls? Meaning without leveling up, without weapon upgrades and without buying items and spells. Not only is that indeed feasible, but you don't even need to use souls to become very powerful in this Dark Souls challenge.

Actually if you check the comment section, you can see several people saying they want to try it for themselves.
My videos basically cater to 2 types of audiences. One is people who are challenge runners themselves and for them I provide guides for specific runs. And two are people who like to watch challenge runs but don't do them themselves. And for them I provide insight into how these challenges are dealt with.
Of course, this particular video had a higher comedy value than usual. Most of my other guides have a more serious presentation.
You forget 3: people that will never touch a souls game themselves, but still like the game.

Sometimes you head down some content rabbit holes and enjoy hearing the nitty gritty of something but never getting around to actually reading/playing/watching something. It happens.
Guys like PC and ymfah have made it easier than ever to enjoy the series as an outsider IMO. (Would still recommend playing them to anyone reading this that loves catharsis from doing something difficult.)

@@BigDBrian If you don't use the souls, you can potentially figure out how to revive the people they came from, much like how Anastacia is resurrected. Turning somebody's soul into a magical binding agent for a sword certainly isn't a circle of life.
@@jooot_6850 Most of the boss weapons are subpar in Dark Souls though, so it even lacks the Chad "cool sword" element.

Wtf are you talking about, nearly all the boss weapons are really cool and powerful, sure they're not OP compared to other weapons but nor should they be cause then the PVP meta would be only boss weapons, but just to list a few of the really cool ones: Quelaag's Furysword, has a really good moveset, good damage and scales with humanity, Dragonslayer Spear can shoot lightning and has amazing reach and because it is a spear can be used while holding your shield up, I'm not going to explain the rest in detail but the Golem Axe, Smough's Hammer, Moonlight Horn, Crystal Ring Shield, Greatsword of Artorias, Greatshield of Artorias and the Lifehunt Scythe are all really cool, Chaos Blade and Dragon Bone Fist are alright too.
@@nightscout9979 Anastacia can be resurrected, because she have a strong soul. Almost every enemy have weak souls, that can only be used to power up yourself. They do not contain memories or something like that.
And why would someone want to resurrect hollows, rats, blobs in the sewers, basilisks, crazy psychopaths like Mildred or anyone in this universe?

I like to think Miyazaki saw this video and considered that comment a challenge, thus we can thank this channel for Elden ring having an announced release date. Also, after Miyazaki seeing all the ways people broke Souls, I have a feeling Elden Ring will offer a whole new level of challenge for speed runners in particular.

to kill easily the channeler: use a bow from downstair where the firekeeper soul is even if you don't have the level. But IMPORTANT just make headshots.... If you do only headshots the Channeler will never counter attack and only wait for death.

Well I've fought him before on SL1 NG+7 with a caestus. That fight was three times as long as this one, so it was not such a big hurdle this time around.

At 23:15 or so, when you get that "Purple Moss out of nothing", it means that one of the Toxic Blowdart Guys (I don't know their actual name) has most definitely fallen to their death. Whenever one of those Toxic Blowdart Guys dies, you are at LEAST guaranteed a Purple Moss drop (which automatically goes into your inventory), but you can also potentially get a Blooming Purple Moss from them as well (which will also be automatically put in your inventory).
So yeah, you didn't get a Purple Moss out of nothing. One of the guys that shoots the toxic blowdarts died. Oh, and any killed Toxic Blowdart Guy stays dead permanently until the next cycle.

In D&D "Drakes" are wingless big lizards that can breathe fire and other stuff. In other folklore these would be called Wyrm or "Lindwurm" in Germany.

You can use Covetous Gold Serpent Ring from Sen's Fortress to be more sure with finding Symbol of Avarice. And humanities ofc.
Dodging Nito's sword-from-underground is even easier: just block while 2-handed. It changes characters hitbox, so this attack will miss you.
I think to prevent Nito's stuck, you may want to go slightly to the left after entering the arena, not to the rigth.

14:00 the game doesn't actually keep track of which mimics you've killed so far to give you a garunteed drop on the last one, it just keeps track of how many times a mimic head has been rolled for. It takes 7 rolls for the garunteed drop (seven mimics in the game), so by using 4 talismans and killing 3 mimics, the drop is garunteed.
We need a poll to determine which is best. Priscilla's Feet or Gwendolyn's cross dressing.

@@anarchistangel2314 It really isn't vague or complicated. He is a boy raised as a daughter because of his moon powers and being miserable because of it according to his item descriptions.
In DS3 he comes out as a man and becomes the new allfather, a male-only title (as stated by the Japanese description of Pontiff's soul).

I just know there's been a lot of different interpretations of Gwyndolin's character (and honestly i don't think them taking a masculine title necessarily precludes them from being something other than a man, but that's, as i said, up to how you interpret things)

These types of runs remind of how amazing Dark Souls 1 is. The sheer variety in approaches you can take is amazing. Doing these challenges causes you to find loopholes in the game to make the run easier. This is the true endgame of Dark Souls. You start playing ds1 while being clueless. Many hours later your beating the game without using souls. Masterpiece
