Tsubomi does (platonically) care about mob. She’s been keeping an eye out on him throughout the show (complimenting him on helping Emi, testing reigen with fake relationship questions to see if mob’s teacher is legit) and she waited through a freaking tornado because she realized how much it meant to him to get a chance to talk to her. Now that Mob has stopped putting her on a pedestal, hopefully they get a chance to actually become closer now (whether as friends or partners). People are mad that tsubomi rejected him, but the whole point of this finale is mob, who was previously motivated by the thought of tsubomi as his reason to improve himself, continues to try to improve even after she rejected him. It started off as being for tsubomi, but now it’s for himself. If you only want to become a better person to get a girl, then you’re not actually trying to self improve and you’ll backslide if the relationship ever falls apart
I put this season off for so long. To sit and watch it when it coincidentally became most relatable. For I fell for my ex again, after a period of struggling with mental health that made me dump her in the first place. And I know I must get better to be a good partner and a functioning human bean. And I’m struggling to separate my desire for improvement from her and place it upon myself. Do I really have to get rejected for it to work? Lol
Something I think people who found this ending lacklustre seem to forget: The main conflict of the show was never the big flashy fights or supernatural powers; it was Shigeo's conflict with his emotional state and powers, and Reigen's conflict with his ethics and morality. Both these conflicts are explored throughout the series, and finally we get to see Reigen finally open up properly to Shigeo, and Shigeo is finally able to experience a strong emotion without it overwhelming his powers.
Thank you! This was a perfect ending honestly. Only thing I wish we could have gotten was one more episode where we see mob start off high school or see what reigen does with his job(which I know we got a bit at the end but a little more would have been nice)
Mob had such a great conclusion. Finally had the courage to confess to Tsubomi, got rejected (thankfully tbh), and continued to better himself for no other reason than to better himself. Wish I had this series when I was younger, would’ve helped me make some realizations much sooner. Also him finally showing his emotions rather than holding them in, felt so good to see.

This is why the scene said “Kageyama Shigeo 100%” instead of “Mob 100%” because hes finally free of that mindset of losing control. The fact you even pointed out it was a nickname further proves the symbolism as Mob was an Alias of Shigeo
Honestly, she made the right choice. Not saying Mob wouldn't make a good boyfriend, he's a swell guy overall, but neither of them really knew each other. She knew about his powers, and he knew she liked them and didn't find them off-putting, but it felt as if neither really knew who each other were. Getting into a relationship with someone you know next to nothing about is not a good idea. So, now that they're actually talking to one another, if their relationship keeps developing, it could result in a romantic relationship further down the road. And seeing as Tsubomi actually waited for him despite everything going on, it tells me she respects him at the very least.
I feel exactly the same way. They both made the right call, irrespective what they end up being down the line, they are both going to be a better person for it.
Agree and disagree. Dating is all about getting to know someone. For some it’s important to already know the person but not everyone is the same. In tsubomi’s case, Mezato mentions Tsubomi is rather independent and doesn’t keep her heart on her sleeve. She’s simply not looking for a relationship. I mean she rejected so many guys with no mention of actually looking to date.
I mean, they do mention that afterwards the both of them keep in touch and call each other, so they're doing the getting to know part now. Whether or not they end up dating sometime in the future is left up to your own imagination
She does respect Mob, after all she admired his actions when he supported the girl that dated him for a dare, when her "friends" were bullying her about writing a "cheesy" novel. She also was about to cheer Mob during the marathon, but stopped herself when seeing Mob was so out of breath and focused on keep going that he wouldn't notice. Overall, even though it sounded rude, Dimple was right when he told Mob "Tsuboni-chan will never date you Mob, she knows herself and her values very well, and she knows how to say no." She respectfully waiting for Mob's arrival, and told him "I don't see you in any romantic way", but this opened the door for Mob regaining communication with her, from what it is explained, she is similar to Mob in the sense that she doesn't show her true self too much, but now Mob is a sincere friend, and one that she needs given her school change, because she's starting anew and has no friends there (not that she can't make new friends, but having a good friend through a new and unknown situation is always good and helpful).
The most beautiful thing about this moment is this: In this moment, completely voluntarily, Mob allows his emotions to show completely. He allows himself to feel something, to visibly show that he's in pain, and he's no longer holding himself from feeling things. I mean heck, Mob Psycho III is very blatantly about Mob finally letting his barriers down and allow himself to feel things. /He's human./ In Mob Psycho I, Dimple outright calls Mob "livestock without emotions" and the crux of the battle revolves around that. He's made such huge changes to himself and his life.
@@DGneoseeker1that’s not what it’s about. She is his friend again. This show is about getting over failure and insecurities, and accepting yourself. I think tsubomi remaining his friend serves as a way to show rejection is not the end all be all
Took it like an absolute chad. He let it out and moved on and by the end he was actually able to speak to her frequently now without being nervous. Mob really is built different. One of the greatest anime protagonists I've seen in a long while.
Although him getting rejected is sad, the significance of this scene is that he is finally able to cry and let his emotions out rather than hold it in and have his % meter go up. He has finally come to terms with his repressed self. Personally, I felt that this scene of him crying was actually a happy moment. He is finally able to express himself fully with his friends comforting him, which is also why the ending scene of him genuinely laughing was so beautiful. Also, throughout the series, one of Ritsu's biggest fears was Mob getting rejected by Tsubomi because he believed it would cause him to explode. Mob's reaction in this scene really shows how far his development has come.
Mob gets rejected, but when you really think about it, this confession was really different compared to the ones Tsubomi got before. Here, she was willing to wait for Mob, regardless of the ensuing chaos that surrounded her cuz at least she and Mob were friends at one point, unlike the other boys who confessed that she had no idea who they were to begin with. To me, it seems like though she doesnt feel the same way for Mob, that might change. Compared to the other boys, at least she still opened a line of communication with Mob. At least she still talks with him on a daily basis. The other boys only saw Tsubomi as a pretty face, while Mob already knew what Tsubomi was like from the start.
A solid 12 /10 for me this series had what most stories don’t and a complete satisfaction I don’t regret anything this series was so good and I don’t wish to never forget such a anime 🤘‼️ to 2023 and more stories along
This is a really realistic take on how rejections usually are. It sucks, but the important thing is that you finally did it. Even if you get rejected. you can tell it was the right choice because there's this sweet-feeling that tells you, "Atleast I did it".
Its such a honest reaction, even if it was a nice rejection when you say it out loud or think about it you can't hold the tears, cried really hard with my boy
Can we take a moment to appreciate how Mob confessed to his crush, got rejected, and actually had the kindness and good taste to wait until she was gone to actually cry his heart out to the people he trusts? Even when hurt by rejection, Mob ended up doing far better than the countless other kids who confessed to her out of nowhere then openly cried when she turned them down.
She did say she was yet to see him in that way, so while it was a rejection, Mob may still have a chance eventually as they grow older and feelings change but just not now. I can see why it's saddening, but sometimes that's how these things play out.
The animation this season was beautiful. A lot of people are hesitant to watch their show because of the animation, but the more i watched it, the more I felt the animation style is perfect.
It is such a sad and yet heart warming moment knowing he got rejected, but joyous he is honest in showing his feelings in front of Rrigen and Dimple. I'm gonna miss these guys but I am also so happy for them.
i don't think it means anything because that feels antithetical to the main theme of the show, rather that's just the kind of person tsubomi is and how much she still respects mob as a friend without any romantic connotation. still very awesome of her to wait for mob through it all
she knows about his powers dude remember when he fixed that other chick's rought draft of her novel that got ripped to pieces? Tsubomi thought that was smooth.
Exactly and remember the ending they still keep in contact there would be no point of contacting each if it’s long distance friendship. But she must be slightly interested mob and wants to know if he should be given a chance
@@huzaifahhussain733 I have several long distance friends. Building and maintaining friendships is JUST as important as building and maintaining romantic relationships, maybe even more so. Don't sell friendship short!
the whole time I was hoping tsubomi rejected mob, because he held her on way too much of a pedestal to have a proper relationship. I'm happy they addressed this issue perfectly, that was a really good way to end the show
I liked this ending. Its good to show that even if you get rejected, you have to push forward and better yourself, and it also didn't show Tsubomi as a villain. Sometimes love just doesn't work in your favor, and that's okay.
Poor Moby, it was expected though he had not talked nor hang out with Tsubomi in years and he had a very idealized view of her, she even saw her with regular anime eyes.
This scene is literally perfect in every way. The message in it is needed for all the younger people (and also many adults) It is normal in life to be rejected many times and it is also very normal to be sad or devestated by it, but it is also very okay to show your weakness to your loved ones as they will always help you heal. Mob's growth is literally perfect
I think most fans figured by Season 3 that Mob had put Tsubomi on a huge pedestal and had a crush on the _idea_ of her without really getting to know her very well. Since a rejection was pretty much the only real outcome from him asking her out, not showing the actual conversation between them was a great stylistic choice. It's like the act of asking her out (and getting rejected) wasn't that big a deal. The big deal was that for the first time in the series, we see Mob cry freely about some regular 14-year old girl trouble.
bro this scene had me crying so hard. As a fellow man, i can testify that society really does tell us men that expressing saddness is a sign of weakness and immaturity. But to me, the sign that a boy has turned into a true man, is like what mob did. He accepted his feelings and kept moving forward to be the best of himself despite the setback.
Mob Psycho 100 is more realistic than a bunch of romantic shows where the girl and guy fall for each other at first sight. This is still a better love story than Twilight.
@@brigadeleaderharuhisuzumiy8589 That's the thing, romance in anime is overexaggerated because it's fictional. Yes, you can take things from romance animes, but I generally just watch it without comparing it to anything in my current life. A lot of people watch anime to disconnect because they don't care to compare it to their own lives.
It is so nice to see Shigeo cry eventho it hurts because this shows that he is finally able to show his emotions in a healthy way without getting anyone in danger. He can finally show what he feels and be more freely about himself.
I really appreciate that she waited through all that and still remained honest. I'm also very happy Shigeo accepts her honesty and lets himself cry around those who will continue to support him.
This series will be my bloodlines tradition from now on. I'm genuinely not joking, i will make it a father son bonding ritual that everyone in family is gonna do
I love that he get's rejected. it sends the right message. Women becoming the protagonists Girlfriend is not the reward for personal growth (like a lot of media suggests). This show is about becoming a better person for its own sake. I like that she got the chance to be her own person the same way he is. Every single character in this show is just perfect!
I wanna point out that tsubomis rejection to mob is widely different to her previous rejections. To the other boys asking her out she flat out said she had absolutely no interest in them. But with mob she says she has " *yet* to see him that way". He got shot down but that doesnt mean the chance is gone for good, the rejection even got him to start talking to her more, which will inevitably make their relationship blossom. Will they actually begin dating or will their relationship stay completely platonic? Who knows but either scenario is likely, and I like that. They didnt have the rejection be a one and done deal, mob actually learned from this.
This is the first time you see Mob expressing actual emotion, every other time he used his psychic powers as a medium for his emotions and they were the catalyst for releasing his power, but in this moment it is mob in his purest most normal self, it's Mob Kageyama at 100%
I believe this ending is to show that yes Mob is afraid of rejection yet his other self was doing it for him. So now he has the willpower to ask her out. Yet he still got rejected and is now experiencing it to develop further as a person.
Mob has come a long way to better himself. Even if he was rejected, that's okay. Expressing much emotions is a part of life. Reigen it's truly a great man to help out Mob the best way he can and beginning was truly a masterpiece. I literally cried that it's over, but Mob can be happy and experience life-changing moments.
I think I finally get where the % comes from , it isn't about him losing his control it is about how close he is to showing his true self which is what the stress does.
I like how bittersweet this scene is On one hand, rejection hurts and it also hurts seeing Mob cry, but at the same time, our boy's no longer locking his emotions away
Just imagine what would have happened if ???% won, and he waltz up to tsubomi tornado blazing, demon face on and hands her flowers. When she saw that mob destroyed the city just for her, she would have been way more harsher than a simple rejection.
I'm thankful that they didn't end up together tbh. It had more of an impact letting us know that Mob even after the show, still has room to grow. It's been a nice run with mob psycho

I mean, they do mention that afterwards the both of them keep in touch and call each other, so they're doing the getting to know part now. Whether or not they end up dating sometime in the future is left up to your own imagination
She also mentioned “yet.” She open to the possibility.
The most beautiful thing about this moment is this:
In this moment, completely voluntarily, Mob allows his emotions to show completely. He allows himself to feel something, to visibly show that he's in pain, and he's no longer holding himself from feeling things. I mean heck, Mob Psycho III is very blatantly about Mob finally letting his barriers down and allow himself to feel things. /He's human./
In Mob Psycho I, Dimple outright calls Mob "livestock without emotions" and the crux of the battle revolves around that. He's made such huge changes to himself and his life.
Watching mob cry left me hurt that was really sad..
It's good because he expresses emotion without a psychic incident.
that kind of crying he did actually felt cathartic. At least in my eyes
But we understand that he has the courage to try
Well at least it is clear that Tsubomi politely rejects Mob and he understands it and that's how the story ends. A phenomenal journey.
Not quite accurate. It ends with him admitting they've been chatting on the phone a lot and I think it kind of implied he has a chance...
One of the greatest anime protagonists I've seen in a long while.
honestly respect to Tsubomi, massive destruction and a massive tornado heading her way yet she stayed
Still a Chad in my eyes, Mob!!!
I’m so happy Dimple came back❤️ The real Mob Psycho was the friends we made along the way❤️
The real "psycho" was Tsubomi waiting for Mob in an earthquake and tornado just to reject him.
@@guesta9822 Not quite.
Maybe if Mob found out she wasn't there, he would go on a rampage, and he'd probably go chase her
A solid 12 /10 for me this series had what most stories don’t and a complete satisfaction I don’t regret anything this series was so good and I don’t wish to never forget such a anime 🤘‼️ to 2023 and more stories along
This is a really realistic take on how rejections usually are. It sucks, but the important thing is that you finally did it.
Even if you get rejected. you can tell it was the right choice because there's this sweet-feeling that tells you, "Atleast I did it".
This anime ends when both Mob and Reigen accepts themselves. Such a beautiful ending.
Now that's an art of Fiction
Poetic. It's the only time 100% Mob "loses", but he still comes away with so much more than he started with.
Rejection may suck, but platonic love is better than no love at all. That and BBH.
True
Proof you can continue being friends even after rejection
What is BBH I need an explanation💀
@@eyyyy3265 me too

Its such a honest reaction, even if it was a nice rejection when you say it out loud or think about it you can't hold the tears, cried really hard with my boy
Can we take a moment to appreciate how Mob confessed to his crush, got rejected, and actually had the kindness and good taste to wait until she was gone to actually cry his heart out to the people he trusts?
Even when hurt by rejection, Mob ended up doing far better than the countless other kids who confessed to her out of nowhere then openly cried when she turned them down.
Sadly, the things didn't happen as he expexted, but I'm very proud of my boy. He grown up so fast and he did it at last 🌻 💔 ✨.
To be fair she said that doesn’t see Mob in that way “yet”…who knows what the future may bring
It is such a sad and yet heart warming moment knowing he got rejected, but joyous he is honest in showing his feelings in front of Rrigen and Dimple. I'm gonna miss these guys but I am also so happy for them.
the fact that she waiting for him through the catastrophe means somethinggggg. i love it
i don't think it means anything because that feels antithetical to the main theme of the show, rather that's just the kind of person tsubomi is and how much she still respects mob as a friend without any romantic connotation. still very awesome of her to wait for mob through it all
she knows about his powers dude remember when he fixed that other chick's rought draft of her novel
that got ripped to pieces? Tsubomi thought that was smooth.
Exactly and remember the ending they still keep in contact there would be no point of contacting each if it’s long distance friendship. But she must be slightly interested mob and wants to know if he should be given a chance
@@huzaifahhussain733 I have several long distance friends. Building and maintaining friendships is JUST as important as building and maintaining romantic relationships, maybe even more so. Don't sell friendship short!
@@misteryA555 I thought animes maybe different
Im so happy that they didn’t forced Tsubomi’s feelings. But I wanted him to be happy SO much… there’s still Emi tho
He can be happy without woman love interest. He needed to work on himself and he's happier despite the rejection. You watched the ending right?
@@crazyadri5079 whatever
Didn’t cry so much because he got rejected. Cried so much because he’s finally letting himself cry
I'm just glad their still talking to each other some people just don't talk to you again after that
the whole time I was hoping tsubomi rejected mob, because he held her on way too much of a pedestal to have a proper relationship.
The best ending I’ve ever seen in anime, perfection. Doesn’t leave you wanting more instead leaves you happy and satisfied that Shigeo is moving on
I know how you feel mob, its alright. It Takes a lot of guts to do, and that alone is a W!
This scene is literally perfect in every way. The message in it is needed for all the younger people (and also many adults)
It is normal in life to be rejected many times and it is also very normal to be sad or devestated by it, but it is also very okay to show your weakness to your loved ones as they will always help you heal.
Mob's growth is literally perfect
No words can describe how satisfying the last 100% slide was. That send off was just god-like
I think most fans figured by Season 3 that Mob had put Tsubomi on a huge pedestal and had a crush on the _idea_ of her without really getting to know her very well.
My boi Mob had more courage than any of us. I could’ve never even try to ask my high school crush out
Wish u could go back in time huh
bro this scene had me crying so hard. As a fellow man, i can testify that society really does tell us men that expressing saddness is a sign of weakness and immaturity. But to me, the sign that a boy has turned into a true man, is like what mob did. He accepted his feelings and kept moving forward to be the best of himself despite the setback.
Mob, dimple and reigen make a such a cute little family 🥺 This show was incredibly beautiful
it’s so refreshing to see mob cry, feeling his emotions naturally like that 🥺
Seeing him cry hurts D:
That's perfectly fine. Rejection is a part of life. At least Mob can move on instead of wondering what it could have been.
The good thing about mob psycho characters is that they actually feel human. I love Reigen and Mob.
This is the first time Mob openly expresses his feelings without losing control of his powers.
mob can finally show is emotion without getting out control.
Mob Psycho 100 is more realistic than a bunch of romantic shows where the girl and guy fall for each other at first sight. This is still a better love story than Twilight.
To be fair romance shows wouldn't be romance if there wasn't any romance
@@exodus1x277 I like Romantic shows and Anime, but I feel they give unrealistic expectations to people. I still like them though.
Such a good show and scene. Love she said yet and that they actually become friends after this. Amazing
I really appreciate that she waited through all that and still remained honest. I'm also very happy Shigeo accepts her honesty and lets himself cry around those who will continue to support him.
This series will be my bloodlines tradition from now on. I'm genuinely not joking, i will make it a father son bonding ritual that everyone in family is gonna do
W father
W Choice of anime and W tradition and W father you a 🐐
Girl sat through a tornado just to turn this poor man down...
I love that he get's rejected. it sends the right message. Women becoming the protagonists Girlfriend is not the reward for personal growth (like a lot of media suggests). This show is about becoming a better person for its own sake. I like that she got the chance to be her own person the same way he is. Every single character in this show is just perfect!
there's no "right" message. don't bring arbitrary morality into this.
1:47 man down, man down!!
Crazy that its been 9 months since the finale
I wanna point out that tsubomis rejection to mob is widely different to her previous rejections. To the other boys asking her out she flat out said she had absolutely no interest in them. But with mob she says she has " *yet* to see him that way". He got shot down but that doesnt mean the chance is gone for good, the rejection even got him to start talking to her more, which will inevitably make their relationship blossom. Will they actually begin dating or will their relationship stay completely platonic? Who knows but either scenario is likely, and I like that. They didnt have the rejection be a one and done deal, mob actually learned from this.
This is the first time you see Mob expressing actual emotion, every other time he used his psychic powers as a medium for his emotions and they were the catalyst for releasing his power, but in this moment it is mob in his purest most normal self, it's Mob Kageyama at 100%
What a perfect way to end the series. Mob Psycho 100 is PEAK FICTION!!!
It's not the story ending tho there's 1 chapter left which I hope they adapt it into an OVA or something like that
@@symphonixbladesthey did ovas for season 1 and 2, so I think they’ll do an ova for season 3
am i the only one that wanted to cry with him?
@@Dimitris_Half me too bro it was so sad.
well mob just proves that no matter how much power you have, your heart is just as vulnerable as anyone elses.
I believe this ending is to show that yes Mob is afraid of rejection yet his other self was doing it for him. So now he has the willpower to ask her out. Yet he still got rejected and is now experiencing it to develop further as a person.
He may not think about it but he's shown how impressive he can be towards other girls throughout the series.
Getting to see Shigeo experience emotion normally has to be the drop that tipped the bucket for me. Such a beautiful ending.
god the music in this scene is just immaculate
Seeing my boy cry makes me wanna cry :c
Mob after finally Accepting Himself he get Rejected💀💀💀
She said YET so yeah, my man Mob has a chance in future
The whole ending of Mob Psycho is one of my favorite conclusions for fiction ever
Homie got rejected 😔
I feel you Mob 😞😔
Well, at least she waited for him. And in a crazy storm no less.
This is very healthy, it’s better to try, fail and learn from the experience then to become bitter and resentful. It’s ok to be upset and move on 👍
the way they animated him makes me so emotional aisjwinsks
At least he took his shot. That's more than alot of people.
I LOVE THIS SCENE SO MUCH. SO RELATABLE. THE MOST RELATA KE ANIME I'VE EVER WATCHED 😭❤️
Seeing mob cry after getting rejected hurt me 😢
I think I finally get where the % comes from , it isn't about him losing his control it is about how close he is to showing his true self which is what the stress does.
This hits harder right after a rejection
finished this season recently and it was amazing
I’m in my 30’s but I recently got rejected by someone who had told me they liked me, this helps a lot.
I like how bittersweet this scene is
On one hand, rejection hurts and it also hurts seeing Mob cry, but at the same time, our boy's no longer locking his emotions away
Thanks for this anime ! Ty Mob and Reigen !
Even someone with god like powers still has the weakness of love and rejection
The moment we all waited for. My hero Shigeo
