I have the wallaby hawthorn Leslie. It was an engine that worked (and is preserved) in Australia, my homeland. Australian model steam engines a rare, affordable ones even rarer! Really enjoy the little thing, struggles with the points at my clubs layout, but it’s small, can’t really be helped. Very glad to have it
i've got the wallaby here in Australia as well, works a treat and has pretty good sound as well. They are a bit delicate though would be my only complaint. but a great runner, and no issues on my radius 2 peco points
I've not had a chance to follow up these tiny saddle tanks or have watched any other reviews. Though, you have sparked a bigger interest in getting one, Rob. A great review from you, and they do look awesome with your Cadbury wagons to bite into, yum, chocolatey, lol.
Hi Rob, A nice video for a super model and having bought Henry with sound agree with all you say on my new end to end layout he does so well over all my standard Hornby points and maybe not happy on curved ones but hay an 0-4-0 we expect it to have trouble so this one is a revalation on what can be done helped by the movement on both axels for uneven track. I do think the layout you run him on does need to be good on mine droppers to every rail and points very clean track and wheels and why this model well I wanted a hoover on the layout!!! Cheers Robert.
Is this the same invincible that worked at RAE Farnborough.. if so I was there for its last working from the Royal Aircraft Establishment's yard to the sidings at Farnborough main station.
I have this one, I love it, I want to see how the new Accurascale/hatrons Andrew Barclays compare (also on order) to decide if this is model of the year but it’s currently my front runner, mine also struggles on certain points which is slightly annoying seeing as I have a rather point heavy shunting puzzle but for its size it’s to be expected and currently on the loco out for a stay alive install
Is it running on DC or DCC towards the end please? I can't afford to refit my whole fleet with DCC so prefer to get DC versions where possible. Also wondering this about the Sonic Models LBSCR K Classes, they vary in price with what appears to be a speaker factory fitted and only differences seem to be cosmetic?
You have hit the nail on the head with this review and hats off to Dapol. Great video, Jersey Bill

It's nice when you have something connecting you to a model.

It's model of the year for me. Brilliant performer, too, even over dead frog points!
I have invincible and asbestos and I absolutely love them ^^
A stunning model, and a brilliant video to accompany it! Well done you!
Cheers 👍🏼 glad you enjoyed it
The dapol model wipes the floor with the hornby models.
The Hornby Peckett is a lovely model, this this is a step up.
This is definitely one of Dapol's best models 👍.
Payday Friday so maybe 😊,Woolwich it’s changed so much now like most of London even my side the west I’m getting old hehe
All the best
Mark 😊😊
Hi Mark. Yeah, it's changed loads. I didn't realise how big their railway was. Rob
I could imagine that the packaging is a good way to protect the fine detail on the model.

I think it was. What was it used for?
Smashing little engine! I guess I’ll just have to get used to 0-4-0T’s at over £100 😮. When you’re a 60yr old git it’s kind of hard to accept 😢
Certainly looks to be a stunning model, Rob. Thanks for the review
Thanks, you're welcome 👍🏼

JohnJMC has told me that fitting a stay alive isn't too bad

Hi. It was running on DCC in all the footage. Thanks.
congratulations, you just sold one!
I have invincible. Does anyone else have a problem with jerkiness?
