  • Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy was a fashion icon of the 1990s, known for her minimalist and elegant style. She was often photographed wearing simple, classic pieces that showcased her natural beauty and effortless chic.
    Her minimalist aesthetic and choice of men's blazers and crisp white shirts stood in stark contrast to the fabulous glamour of her mother-in-law and other famous politicians' wives of the time. Her loose hair and barely-there makeup, and pencil skirts all embodied the effortless and moderate look of the decade.
    Carolyn focused on using a limited colour palette, simple geometric shapes, and high-quality materials to create a refined and sophisticated look.
    She favoured a minimal colour palette (mostly black, white, and other neutrals), subtle flourishes, sleek cuts to emphasize her silhouette, strategic accessories and textured pieces for visual interest, and above all, she utilized the coat as a focal point of her look.
    Some images of Carolyn look so current they could have been taken yesterday. Her fashion choices continue to inspire and influence women today, and her legacy as a fashion icon will undoubtedly endure for many years to come.

      She had some weirds styles stemming from the fact that she actually put too little effort in how she looked. She really didn't care much, and specially she didn't care the way this video or the media tries to portray. She had little thought on how she looked, she was an extremely self conscious woman and she hated attention. She tried her best to actually be super bland and vanilla and to have people NOT talk about her, so this video is absolutely no sense

    I love her style. Unusual to find a celebrity wearing the same pieces over and over. Apparently she was the origin of what we call street style now. Although one could say it really started with her mother in law.

    I loved her minimalism in the 90s. She would have been horrified at y2k style. Now that I'm in my 40s...I'm trying to lean into her sleek simple style. It's better to invest money into classic pieces then throw monet at microtrends and wild pieces

    Years after, because they died she has achieved this over-the-top iconic status because she married well. I do understand the fascination with John, especially for those of us who watched him grow up … perhaps it is only wonderment in why he chose this rather unremarkable person to marry. That is the mystery 🤔.

    I find it disgusting that Meghan Markle would want to try to clone herself after this American icon who married American icons. Her dress was similar to Caroline that sorry. No prizes for that. Wrinkle mess

    Hopefully that wasn't a real leopard coat she was wearing. It might have belonged to Jackie, who, when she wore one, almost caused the extinction
    of leopards. Hopefully this site will not glorify endangered species fur as "fashion".

    • @joanreynolds955
      @joanreynolds955 9 месяцев назад

      If it was the leopard coat that belonged to Jackie Kennedy, then it was real leopard. Oleg Cassini, who often designed for Jackie, made a the coat made of leopard pelts for his prized client. It caused such a splash that the population of leopards plummeted worldwide to satisfy the demand for the trendy coats. We now live in much more enlightened times when artificial alternatives are available.

      I never thought she was gorgeous, more or less, pretty. She wore her clothes well (tall and thin), but the colors were bland. Also, a lot of black, describing her mood or ready for a funeral? Nothing special, just married into the Kennedy family.
