the stacks of digital technology @ursula's disposal is admirable. she's not only playing a regulatory role as government, but spearheading digital innovations
I have had and witnessed several momo problem like monent going to the wrong number and things like that. These issues we often reported to mtn but reception was almost always cold and senders who were often from overseas were told to call the numbers that received the money. Not helpful information and people often ended up forfeiting their money
I don't think African politicians and policymakers sometimes don't sit down and analyse things long term. Most of them live under the mantra of "we brought it first" argument.
When the Europeans arrived, Japan was already an organised state with a strong nationalistic civilisation, both of which factors allowed it to resist European imperialism and christianity. In fact, the Meiji reformers borrowed from European technology while killing christians. The result was that Japan experienced rapid industrialisation and was saved the religious nonsense attending European imperialism. Guess what we did in our part of the world. Go to Japan, China or South Korea and see if there are as many noisy CSOs as you have in Ghana. We only learnt from the unproductive aspects of European civilisation- useless noise making by CSOs, churches and political parties. Everyone wants to establish or join one of these to make it in life. How can we be a productive society?
Hold on oo... So Gov has 7% share and is interested in the 5G network rollout and so because of that is not collecting her money upfront but had 30% share in Vodafone and yet was not interested in 4G rollout and couldn't do anything about investments and management of Vodafone? So Ursula thinks with the 7% interest in the company, Gov will be able to dictate to the company as to what to do? Especially when the country cant fulfil its financial obligation? They should simple tell us that they have given 100% away for nothing!!!

I am surprised this lady has lived in Japan before. How does she see Japan compared to Ghana?

20 dollars smartphone? Where? Are they burner phones or tied to a network? How much is "affordable smartphone"?
So if government is not in the business of managing telco, why not take your money upfront and a high one at that? I don't get it
Nkwaseas3m, the TV station is owned by GABBY OTCHERE DARKO so Benard Avle will only ask SOFTBALL questions and allow her to spew lies
