- there are quite a few tutorials on how to do this , and I've taken knowledge from the best ones to present to you the correct way to make a full vector paintable mandala from the distort and transform trick

bro I followed the same steps as you but my expand appearance option is not working. PLEASE HELP!
I use the pen tool to draw. Not brush
@@roshanmeitei7678 Did you figure it out? i dont think it should matter if you use the pen tool. i only use brush or pencil, some times ellipse tool. are you following the last steps from 8:40? follow it to a T and it should work. Since your using Pen tool I can say the same. it might not work with pen tool but i dont see why it wouldn't. you can set your brush settings to smooth and it will correct lines when you dont draw them straight if thats what your worried about. lmk if you get it working
@@BeyondCashed yeah I actually had to put an outline stroke effect to make it expand appearance. Apparantly pen strokes cannot be expanded without that effect. Thanks for the tips tho. I'm just a beginner now, so I'm still going through that learning curve.

Idk why i locked both layers. but as you can see i unlocked it. u dont have to lock both lol.
