Nice. The exit sign I cool. Yesterday I saved a Emergency light from going into the trash from my school. The emergency light is a lithonia lighting ELM2SD LED. It is cool. The only thing different from the self diagnostic from your sign and the Emergency light is when it blinks Red/green that means it is on high charge. If it is solid red that means the battery is disconnected.
I've seen the "fire alarm" feature used as a security alarm type setup. If the door is open for too long, it sounds a local buzzer, and it flashes the exit signs the door corresponds to. It's simpler than it sounds. Trust me.
@@ExitSign250 Yeah it was on a military installation in kansas. The housing was far from up-to-code. You couldn't open any windows, MOLD EVERYWHERE. I have also seen many MNS systems on military installations (Because the DOD usually requires MNS systems.) Like at my Pre-K, they had a P2W / SEP-SW system. The PA was usually used to announce what emergency was happening. At the commissary at another installation, there were RSSs on RSSPs, along with wheelock LED EVACUATE/ANNOUNCEMENT boards. I do not live on a military installation anymore, but have seen some in public. My school district uses colored strobes in high-noise environments where there needs to be a visual indication of an announcement. Such as the Band, Choir, GM, MP rooms and the Gym.
