- Bonjour Everyone! Welcome to The Waves of your Soul 🌊 My name is Marine, I am a French tarot reader and tarot lover and this video is a look at the best indie tarot decks in my tarot card collection. I will share a selection of my favorite indie tarot decks that I come back to again and again in my tarot deck collection. They will all be tarot decks that you can buy directly from the creators and artists and all have a special place in my tarot collection. I have tried to not include any out of print decks at the time of me filming this at least so that hopefully you can get your hands on those decks without having to sell your kidney or next born heir lol & you'll find links to everything below to help you buy straight from the tarot creators.
Just like I did with my mass market tarot decks video, I have divided indie tarot decks in different categories depending on your tastes that you can find below! Also when I learnt tarot I wish I knew a bit more what tarot decks were beginner friendly or not (although I must say you can learn tarot on absolutely any deck there is no such thing as the ultimate beginner tarot deck whatever you start on and feel good on is the one for you) but some decks make it easier to learn than others so I will also share my humble opinion on that. You don't have to agree with everything I say but hopefully it can help someone out there if you are looking to buy a tarot deck that can support directly the artist 🥰

Out of those you chose, I think I only have the Dark Mansion tarot which fits into what I consider to be my "oddly comic" decks...I also include The Carnival at the end of the World and the Zombie Tarot in this category...all unique but with a darkly humorous edge but no less profound when it comes to readings. The Stunning tarot is just that. I hope to own a copy one day! Thanks for sharing these 😁
I love your oddly comic category 😊!! I have a very similar one the way I categorise my tarot shelf as I put the dark mansion, the zombie tarot, the omega land tarot & deviant moon together. If you’re not familiar with Smokey the Bear (from the Groovy Waite) he’s a character in the US who gives messages about preventing wildfires. With a name like Smokey, though, I’m sure he’s also associated with smoking certain substances… 😂

💀 Loved your video! Oh and I think the little animals in the Knight of Swords card from the El Goliath deck are meerkats (suricate). I don't own this deck so I'm not sure, but I love meerkats 😁
