Not to me, the toughest people I’ve ever met in life have been the sweetest and kindest human beings. They simply have a “switch” aka “hulk mode”. They can smash your face in, but would prefer to give you a hug. The best kind of people in the world……. Have a monster inside, but able to control it……. Lion and a lamb at the same time.

Troy and is family are some of the best people. While he was in Pittsburgh, his wife and himself where eating dinner at the same restaurant as my family. Everyone in the restaurant knew who Troy was, but the fan base respected him so much, no one bothered them during their dinner. When it was time for my family to leave and get the bill, the manager told us Troy paid for everyone in the restaurant. He appreciated everyone just letting him have a normal night out with his wife. I was probably 10, and it's something I'll remember for ever

Love... True love and appreciation for that person, that soul, that connection, it's the most beautiful thing. To think that this man that played like a savage, like someone with no regard for their own safety. One that was feared by most if not all offensive players in one of the toughest sports on the planet, is brought to tears thinking about the woman who stood by his side patiently.

I did a detail job on 4 of Troys cars in La Jolla about 10 yrs ago, he was the kindest and most generous customer I’ve ever came across. They offered us food and drink and were really chill. You couldn’t even tell he was a famous football player, nothing but island art and motif everywhere. We were there all day, by 7pm he had to leave to go to the movies and he had on board shorts and a Baja surfer hoodie while his wife had a Bob Marley hoodie. After they left, we looked at the check they gave us and it included a $700 tip!!!!
