- I've been hiding out at a very remote hot spring in the middle of nowhere, recovering from last Saturday's fire department fundraiser in my funky little town on the edge of Death Valley. But I wanted to share my gratitude toward everyone who showed up at and/or donated to our fundraiser -- it was a HUGE success!
I'm not surprised that people came from all over to meet you, and to donate to your fire department fund. You are an absolute gem of a human being, Sarah. High marks to you and your sister, and to everyone who gave so generously.
On behalf of volunteer firefighters, I thank you for doing what you did for your local. I've been a career firefighter medic for about 38 years, and recently retired from the career side but still volunteer in my tiny little mountain town, where I've been volunteering for the past 25. I know what it's like to rely on donations, and people like you really make a big difference! Thank you!
I love, that valley. I actually discovered that little Palm Grove a couple years ago not even knowing it even existed. You can certainly imagine my surprise. I thought I was going to be passing through but fell in love with it and stayed there 5 days. Did a lot of exploring down there on my mountain bike. Got to meet the very interesting innkeeper, as well as the local coyote, pair of Ravens, and some donkeys. I'm looking forward to coming back and instead of taking the North or South Route over the mountains, I want to take the middle difficult 4*4 route. I'll probably be out there in a couple weeks. Looking forward to some warmers territory. So much cold and snow in Colorado this year.

Your little town Is amazing. I parked next to an abandoned jeep truck, checked out the event, bought some mint chocolate chip pan cookie, walked around town, seen the cross on the hill, looked around the laundromat, got some pizza, waited in line to meet or re-meet Wonderhussy.
Sarah, simply put, your channel has united like minded people who love you and all the efforts that you put into your travel videos and your desire to improve the community where your compound is located. I’m glad your community realizes the charismatic personality that you possess and the request for assistance is overwhelming…. It’s all about you Wonderhussy…we love u

I echo your comment. When Sarah was on her 7 day suspension I really missed her weekly uploads so I went back In history to view missed episodes. I only found a couple that I’ve missed! I also realized something important. Most of her uploads are timeless not based on current events and lean more towards historical facts of the places she vlogs.
Kudos to the Mother of these two Sisters. The best is yet to come.

I lived in a tent for 7 months in saline valley, at those hot springs, when I was 19.
Now I'm 62.
The most important and transformational days of my life.
My FAVORITE PLACE is Delights...no tv's. No phones. A tiny cinderblock shelter with the basics....Beautiful Hot Springs and host family. So yessss, Ms Sarah the desert truly is the Best Place for Decompression ....

I was there Saturday and saw you from a far around Noon. There was about a 2 hour wait to see you at that time. You were busy for sure! I wish I could have stayed and met you, but I had a 4 1/2 hour drive back home, so I donated to the cause and headed back. It was a lot of fun. I'll be back if you do it again next year.
Wonderhussy, Sara, you are a good person and a personality. Good people want to be around other good people. You inspire and entertain. People like that kind of stuff. Weirdos not withstanding. But we don't count those. Keep going Sara. You will miss it when you stop doing it, and so will we.

After I left Tecopa I went up the west side of Death Valley beautiful road and mountains stayed at Lone Pines Mt Whitney Motel nice. The picture you took of us with the palm tree and solace mountain is excellent I had it framed let me know if you want a copy☮️🌵🙂

Please note that a LOT of people busted butt - I'm thinking of Tecopa Women Amy Noel and Robin Flinchum, to name a few - to put together this 2023 fundraiser, who have lived in Tecopa since long before Sarah moved there and have along with other residents sponsored this fundraiser in recent years.THEY deserve a lot of credit, too. I was there at the fundraiser, and they are good friends, and they worked extremely hard, too. They just haven't broadcast it. Thank you.

I would have gone to the festival also, but April 15th is a day you have to work if you are a tax preparer. A week later and I'd be there. I want to get out to the desert before it gets too hot. A couple of days I went to the Antelope Valley California Poppy reserve near Lancaster to see the colorful flowers. The wet winter has brought us a beautiful springtime in California.
I didn't know that Inyo was the second largest county in CA. It is not the least populous, though. That would be Alpine County, in the High Sierras (pop. under 1200 people). Inyo, Mono and Alpine Counties share a Tri-County Fair held in Bishop each year.
Saline Valley, one of my all time favorite places on the planet....first time there was 1990!
I do art festivals, get that feeling, it's draining talking to strangers all day, hundreds of compliments, fun, but exhausting too

I lived in Indian Springs as a kid. My stepdad worked at the Test site. After he got a raise we moved to Vegas and i live in Louisiana now. I still have a cousin in Pahrump. I need to get back out there soon to say hello
Your videos are great, but I really love how you give yourself, time and twisted your sisters arm to also. Your county is lucky to have someone that cares about it and gives back so those that give of themselves like the firemen, etc can get resources that are needed.

I'm glad that the fund raiser for Inyo Southern Fire district was a success
Was able to see you from a distance, as the wait even at 10am was well over one hour...and at my age, i dont have the patience that i used to have. Make no mistake, you have a magnetic personality as the line kept getting longer and longer. But,i ended up making various donations, purchasing the China Ranch date nut loaf and exploring Death Valley before driving back to the Bay Area, so even if it was a crazy idea to drive out at the last moment, it was worth the trip.
My sister and I missed the shindig on Saturday we came into town on Monday we went to Delights it was great I’m 70 she is 60 still working so missed it

I have done things like that, but it is so incredibly draining it would take me camping alone a month to recover. Thankfully last time it happened my sister brought supplies and just dropped them and left. Love you Oli!

Sarah you are awesome for doing this fundraiser. Hours of meets and greets I think comes with the territory. Been to a few fundraisers on both sides of the equation. Hope you are keeping that pay pal link open for a while. Wish I could have been out there. Always ready to help the fire department and the more local the more of a challenge it is. Worked the Red Cross canteen on many occasions back in the day in New York City. Those poor fireman (persons now I guess) frozen in the winter ice dangling from them a warm coffee or over heated in the hot summer. Come in and cool off or defrost. I have the ultimate respect for what they do.
You were in our thoughts on the day of your event. Doesn't surprise me so many showed up to meet you and your sis. Enjoy your chill time.

The volunteer departments need all the help they can get . Members are declining because so many people are working multiple jobs to make ends meet. It’s always a great place to meet your neighbors.
