@@Sniper035 ya.. I would have don so many upgrade's If I go the rout of using a iPod. I'm trying to figer out the best solution for my media needs and minimal power consumption. Terns out Zune only has a 32mb ram and iPod classic can have a 64mb ram model. Or I go nuts and build a DIY media player. I did see a new device on amazon but they sell for so much money and it didn't meat all my requirements :(
Right now I’m working on an upgrade video. I flash modded mine for $7 which has gave me a few issues, but works, as well as a 3800mah battery. I would like to mod mine a little bit more, I plan on getting a higher quality flash mod soon. I’ve heard of some people using a 7th gen board in a 5th gen frame so I could think about that too.
@@frankenstein3163 The 7th gen frame only supports the metal face plates, which are kind of difficult to get off and are also heavier. The repair procedure for those has you get a big putty knife into the gap of the faceplate.
That new front plate looks clean…. For now.
@@WillM. Yeah it’ll probably get scratched up the second I take it anywhere
How the h did you find a gen 5 for 25$
Congrats.
@@frankenstein3163 Just looked through eBay and found this one for parts, the parts cost was $18 so it ended up being around $40
