Tiggs is such a handsome kitty. Peachy Keen is a beautiful fabric line and I look forward to using some when it is available to purchase. And your new patterns are wonderful, I see many possibilities in these patterns.
There was a line that came out a number of years ago, Dream On was the name of it, that was based on vintage sheets...it was a beautiful line of fabric!
These quilts that can be made scrappy or with precuts were so much fun! I was working on them at the same time we were working on Scrappy Irish Chain and scraps were on my mind. =)
Love the Trunk show as always Corey, I have purchased some of these patterns to add to my list of pattern to used in the future, I do have lots of scraps to be able to use these patterns. I really love the barn star patterns wihch I have collect from your etsy shop, they work well for me above my dinning table its the perfect spot and I love to do these in seasonal fabrics so they can be change regularly. thanks again Corey love you channel. Top of the morning to you Corey & Tiggs! This Peachy Kern fabric line may be the death of me before I can get my hands on it in the Fall😫😭😭 David’s quilting is just phenomenal in these quilts! His precision accents each design wonderfully and does not overpower the beauty of the piecing. Looking so forward to these patterns and esp. the Peachy Keen line💕🧵🎉
I love to see Tiggs. He is so beautiful. He loves the quilt as much as I do. I love this fabric line Corey. You have out done yourself once again. This fabric line is the bomb. OH MY GOSH, I love the Barnyard 6 Pattern. You are such genius with fabric and patterns. We all love it.
I love all of the patterns & bought all of them. Now I need the Peachy Keen fabric. I do have a FQ bundle of Sunwashed so maybe I’ll make one of the patterns from that bundle until this new line comes in.
Thank you, Corey, for designing these quilts. I love that they work great for scrap busting. The thing I enjoy most about your fabric collections is that they are cheery and colorful. I have grown so fond of your little bitty bud florals and ditsy prints. I agree that with the scrappy quilts, the smaller print in the border sets it off. So happy that Tiggs paid us a visit, too❣❣
I had so much fun quilting these beautiful quilts. The nested circled was a fun patten to sew out. Don't be afraid to use THE Nested Circle pattern yourself It lines up real nice and easy. Your cross hatch looks great.
Love the new fabric line Peachy Keen! All this tease is killing me. Those patterns are great and already bought some…I definitely see a color mix of Springbrook , Sunwashed and Apricot and Ash (maybe not the gray so much)! I enjoy the smaller print borders, so pretty! The diagonal print is outstanding! Loving all the creativity and inspiration!
Corey you are such a talent. I love the scrap basket stars. I will definitely be picking up that pattern. I think the F8 is my favorite precut. And your ditsy print is adorable. Love a ditsy print. Yay. I know we are in the middle of your Sunwashed prints but I’m feeling the vibe of this new collection. And TIGGS! He’s such a funny guy. Lol ❤
Thank you!...I would consider them direction because of the little stem/leaf at the top. Pieced into a quilt, I don't worry about their direction though.
Agreed. Great close-up camera shots really help as I watch these VLOG's on my phone, while my 14 year old Senior Foster cat walks across my lap, to look outside, & walks again to leave...back & forth! Love these colors; especially the Ditsy dots & stripes!
I can't wait to get some of this fabric! The colours you pick are so my favourites. My local! Shoppe just got in some more Buttercup and Slate...and I ordered more😁😁😁
Hi Corey, love your fabric, these quilt designs, love scrap basket stars heart. I plan to blend your collections, I have a few now and have picked up a Sugar Creek layer cake one of your older ones.
Loving the new Peachy Keen line! Especially love the Scrap Basket stars quilt. Want to also make the charm pack quilt - the peach fabric is so cute (my favorite fruit). I’d like to know what tool or marker you use to to mark your cross hatching?
Thank you! I like to use the Dritz Mark B Gone blue water soluble marker. I've never had trouble removing the marks but since it is a marker I always suggest people consider whether they'd like to use a marker on their quilt tops. It's my go-to and I've been using it for probably over 10 years.
I love this line and the quilts! I have already purchased Scrap Basket Stars and the Barn Star! This is one of my favorite barn star. Have a great day, Corey!
I really like this Barn Star quilt too...it'd be fun to make in so many different fabrics. =) You have a great day too! I'm hosting a bridal shower this afternoon so it'll be a busy day. =)
We had one, too. He was with us for 14 years, he was named Yelled because as a newborn, he hollered the loudest! Great fun cat; quite the personality. His favorite toy? A pink "Barbie" tutu. His next favorite was a Terry cloth scrunchie. Both 'flew through the air with the greatest of ease..".
I love the Peachy Keen fabrics! Can you use a Honey Bun for the Jelly Sticks Mini? Will there be a Honey Bun in the Peachy Keen fabrics? Thanks for showing all the quilts, they are all beautiful!
There's no honey bun in Peachy Keen. I'm not sure how the math would shake out using a honey bun but you'd be able to use one. There's more fabric in a honey bun than there is in a charm pack.
Great work and so pretty colors! And we were honored with a visit from Tiggs. I would love to know what technique you use to quilt on your machine. (Sandwiching, marking…all of it). I try small projects but stitch in the ditch is getting old and does not do a-lot for the quilt. Thank you for spending time with us. I look forward to all of your videos.
I might have to share a video where I share more about my process for all of those things. I did share a fair amount in this video: ruclips.net/video/On7Rcek_pUY/видео.html However, in that video I demoed a Hera marker to mark the quilting lines. Usually I use a Dritz Mark B Gone blue water soluble marker to mark my quilting lines. Since not everyone prefers to use a marker to mark their quilt top, I wanted to show a different option for marking.
I like to use the Dritz Mark B Gone blue water soluble marker. I've never had trouble removing the marks but since it is a marker I always suggest people consider whether they'd like to use a marker on their quilt tops. It's my go-to and I've been using it for probably over 10 years.
I’m so excited for this fabric! Those little peaches are so cute 💙🍑💙🍑 The way you did the borders, binding, and backings on these quilts is exactly what I would want to do. When you set out to make all of these quilts, are you using precuts or yardage?
Barn Star 6 uses yardage but all of the other can be made with precuts. When I am working on designing the patterns, I like to provide a nice variety of different precut options in the various patterns. For these, I not only wanted to utilize the precuts but have nice options for making the quilts using scraps.
All such wonderful patterns. What do you use to mark your quilt tops? Also curious if you have any suggestions for a backing fabric for the Easy Peasy quilt. Is the coral in Peachy Keen a good match? I missed out on getting any Apricot and Ash for backing and have had thoughts of using minky but these colours look like they may work nicely. Also my favourite Barn Star yet.
The darkest coral colors in Peachy Keen (the calico print--but it does have some blue, the basic print I used on the Scrap Basket Stars quilt border, and the stripe) match those in Apricot & Ash. I like to use the Dritz Mark B Gone blue water soluble marker. I've never had trouble removing the marks but since it is a marker I always suggest people consider whether they'd like to use a marker on their quilt tops. It's my go-to and I've been using it for probably over 10 years.
@Coriander Quilts thank you very much for those suggestions. I've been trying to use painters tape for straight line quilting on my machine and it just doesn't seem to work well for me.
@@margaretbergen9969 You're welcome!...I tried painter's tape too and didn't have much luck with it. Have you tried a Hera Marker?...it's a nice option if you don't want to put a permanent mark on your quilt top. Hi Corey, peachy keen is such a breath of fresh air. Really looking forward to working with it. Question: what do you mark your quilt top with prior to quilting?
I like using the Dritz Mark B Gone blue water soluble marker. I always like to mention that it is a marker and while I've never had trouble removing the marks it's worth considering if you want to use a marker on your quilt tops. =)
Good Morning Corey. I’m already putting money back to get your Peachy Keen fabric, and I love the scrappy stars quilt pattern so this is going on my project to do list. Quick question, do you only do pay pal or what ever the other money apps are? I only do cc and that makes it hard to purchase your patterns, I’ve tried a couple times to no avail. I also really appreciate you understand that some of us have to use our stash, I have purchased so many beautiful fabrics when I first started quilting and realized I can’t sew that fast. I kept adding and not using, that I ran out of room storing them, even with the best organizing I know. Lol. I really enjoyed the quilting designs in these quilts, I like that they are smaller, fuller (don’t know right word) scale, especially the cats eye? Sorry Tiggs, your eyes are beautiful too🥰 Bless your heart on the cross hashing quilting, what did you use to mark it first? Thank-you for this video. Love your quilts
My shop is set-up on Etsy & accepts all major credit cards as well as quite a few other options. I really like smaller/tighter scale quilting as well...sometimes you want something big and fast but sometimes smaller is better. =) I like to use the Dritz Mark B Gone blue water soluble marker. I've never had trouble removing the marks but since it is a marker I always suggest people consider whether they'd like to use a marker on their quilt tops. It's my go-to and I've been using it for probably over 10 years.
@@CorianderQuilts , Corey Thank-you for answering my questions. Give me a house to clean(what I do for a living) and a pattern and sewing machine I can do great things. But when it comes to a computer I get nervous, but I will figure it out, now that I know it’s worth it❤️
Is it just me but do you want barn stars big enough to make a nice throw? Love all of them and just want them to be bigger so I can cuddle up with them
My first Barn Star pattern came out 6 years ago and they've been very popular at this size. I designed them to mimic the painted Barn Stars that grace many of the barns in Ohio so they are more of a wall hanging or table topper size. However, you could always make them larger by adding borders. You can also sew 4 of them together to make a larger 80" quilt. If you pop by my Etsy shop, I have a bundle of the first 4 and you can see what those would look like sewn together.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it Susan! I've been using the Dritz Mark B Gone blue fabric marker for years and I love it. I always like to mention though that it is a marker and while I've never had trouble removing the marks, it's worth considering if you want to use a marker on your quilt top. =)
I mail mine out to my quilters. David, who did my quilting in this video, lives in a different state from me. I actually don't have any quilters that I work with that are local to me.
Here on RUclips, I have a playlist for the tutorials I've shared: ruclips.net/p/PLcvB3TuqwfMwS0yxMplwf5xlMtOcEvyzR Also, any of the sew alongs I host would include block tutorials. The scrappy Irish Chain playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLcvB3TuqwfMyxYCgc-r9LuU8lOQZYQMaS includes information on choosing fabrics for scrappy quilts, as well as some different tips for piecing those blocks.

That quilting pattern reminds me of the old penny tiles you'd see in bathrooms! I love the way it enhances the patch work!

I love all of this! You always make me smile. What did you use to mark your mini quilt for quilting?
I'm so glad you enjoyed it Susan! I've been using the Dritz Mark B Gone blue fabric marker for years and I love it. I always like to mention though that it is a marker and while I've never had trouble removing the marks, it's worth considering if you want to use a marker on your quilt top. =)
Such pretty fabrics and cute designs! I love them top you're wearing. Where did you find it?
Thank you!...I purchased it from Amazon. It's linked at the bottom of the description box. =)
Any suggestions for a Central Floridian who needs someone else to do the actual quilting ?
I mail mine out to my quilters. David, who did my quilting in this video, lives in a different state from me. I actually don't have any quilters that I work with that are local to me.
Corey, what is the cost of the "Peachy Keen" fat quarter bundle that is coming out in Autumn 2023?
You would need to check with the quilt shop that you are planning to purchase from. The price will vary a little bit from shop to shop.
@@CorianderQuilts ok I will do that. Thank you for replying so quickly! 😊👍
Where did you get that sweatshirt?? That is so cute!!
Thank you!...I purchased it on Amazon: amzn.to/3FWvAcS
I am looking for a leaders and enders project so wondering about that one made from 2 1/2 inch squares. Would that be good?
Hourglass Scraps?...I think so---that project starts out with sewing together 2 1/2" squares which would work well as a leader ender project.
Where would i find your tutorials
Here on RUclips, I have a playlist for the tutorials I've shared: ruclips.net/p/PLcvB3TuqwfMwS0yxMplwf5xlMtOcEvyzR Also, any of the sew alongs I host would include block tutorials. The scrappy Irish Chain playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLcvB3TuqwfMyxYCgc-r9LuU8lOQZYQMaS includes information on choosing fabrics for scrappy quilts, as well as some different tips for piecing those blocks.
