I had a persistent, dry cough that was worse at night, and my fiend told me about roasting an Asian Pear. I ate the pear with nuts and I had almost no coughing. I think it wears off, so I ate a 1/2 (I cooked 2 whole), and fell asleep. It takes about 20-30 min to get into the system, but it works- even just the cooked pear by itself. I’m a believer! Thank you for sharing. Steaming is a way faster way to cook. Roasting took 1hr @350 F
You can also purchase this powder on Amazon, which contains Chuan Bei herb: smile.amazon.com/Nin-Jiom-Chuanbei-Anti-cough-Concentrated/dp/B07B4GDLL3/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=chuanbei&qid=1612566517&sr=8-5

Thanks for post. Can you do an instant pot version of it?
Hi! Yes, I would think that it's totally possible to do it in an instant pot!
may i know , its it ok for honey to steam . some people say is not good to use hot water for honey .
this really works. do you use loquat powder? what's the most effective?
Hi! Thank you! I usually use a Chinese herbal powder called Chuan Bei powder. You can usually find this at a Chinese supermarket or herb pharmacy.
You can also purchase this powder on Amazon, which contains Chuan Bei herb:

Wonder if I can use the steam setting on my rice cooker? My Asian pears are so small, I'm going to downsize the recipe or make a bunch at a time.
Hello! We haven't tried the rice cooker method ourselves personally, but we say give it a try and let us know how it goes! :)
Can we use apple instead
Apple does not have the same lubricating and Yin nourishing effect on the Lungs as does the pear or Asian pear, unfortunately. :)
