any idea why the 16" version of this oven disappeared off the internet a few weeks back? its out of stock everywhere. been wanting to buy a pizza oven for a few months and decided apon this one. once i go to buy it its out of stock everywhere. luckily i bought it off fb marketplace brand new in the box but im kinda sad if it disappears off the market my friends and neighbors are beat on getting their own- because i think this is the best priced and coolest looking one ive seen!
The pellets burn quick. We add the wood to help offset this. The pellets will burn hotter, but the wood will burn longer with a more sustained flame. We alternate back and forth,.. as pellets burn down, add a chunk, as it burns down, add pellets. We find this has worked the best.
Have you ever had problems with the pellets not burning well? Getting lots of soot, and a nasty chemical smell in the oven. Havent been able to figure out whats causing this. Im not sure if we are trying to put too many pellets in at once?? Any thoughts would be great
Get the stone hotter. Once it is hotter, let the flame go down a little bit as to not burn the too of the pizza. A hotter stone at the beginning will help cook the crust up from the bottom
We let it heat up real hot u til the stone reads about 600 degrees. We let the flame die down, not go out, so it isn't creeping up over the top. This solved that issue for us. Make sure to subscribe as we have a follow up video going over this in the works.
I ordered this pizza oven and I personally feel getting the wood pellet oven is a huge waste of time. I regret not buying the combo with gas burner attachment. It was about the same price 🤦. So I am just going to but the gas attachment otherwise so much time is spent trying to keep a steady temperature. Definitely not worth it for just the wood pellet version.
So whenever we use ours, as you will notice in the video, we always operate it with 2 people. One manages the cooking and the other manages the fire. I see your point and it is being mentioned in our next video. Unfortunately, most "budget" wood-fired ovens in this price range will have this issue as it is just a combination of how hot you need to burn the fire versus the size of the burn chamber. For this video we didn't discuss the gas attachment because at that point it would no longer be "wood-fired". Appreciate your feedback and hopefully the gas attachment allows you to enjoy this oven!
Thanks for this video! I just purchased one and it of course had no instructions...

I was wondering the same thing.
Some place had the silver one in stock but I wanted the blue in 16"
I just assumed they sold out fast.
@fuddcar home depot sells it on their website and it'll go out of stock for a few weeks at a time then restock. Definitely recommend it
Do you find adding the wood helps keep the pellets burning at a good temp?

Could be too many pellets causing the fire to stuff out a bit. We only put enough pellets in to fill the tray up about halfway.
Share the link for the wooden pizza peel
My pizza was no thicker than yours and the dough was not cooked all the way. Any tips. Outside was dark and melted just not done all the way.

We are heating our stone up to about 600 degrees now
@gold-n-bluebarbecue will try that thank you. Was using pellets and couldn't get temp up that high. Gonna try wood chunks. Thanks again
@@billykocher8721 we use pellets with an occasional chunk thrown in to help. Hope this gets you there!
How long does it take for one pizza?
All depends on the temperature of the oven but between 2-4 minutes. Rotate about every 30-45 seconds
I bought this same oven and the top of pizza is over cooked and the bottom is undercooked? What could my problem be?

You know how we roll!
could i technically pick up sticks and small logs on my walks and use them ?
As long as they fit in the firebox, I don't see why not
