Loved this! Especially the honesty - lots of positivity and rah rah on guitar RUclips but not enough of direct talk. Enjoyed the playing and various atmospherics, could listen to an album of that. Guitar looks sick in my opinion, especially that black headstock!
That’s why I love the Jaguar. After 40 years of playing blues licks I pick up the Jag and it just inspires something completely different- just as you’ve played. Nice work.
Got a Squier 70s Jag 4 days ago. Didn’t spend a cent on it, just gave it a proper set up. It feels, plays and performs every bit as good as my American Deluxe V Neck Strat.
I normally buy cheap guitars and mod them cause it’s fun and an experience and with doing that you can get gems sometimes trash but when you pick up a guitar and imagine how it sounds and plays to you …I say you should chase that and make it sound the way you imagine it to instead of struggle and hate the guitar cause of the voice …I hated my Ibanez for years till I ripped the guts out and it’s the best sounding guitar I have to me and it’s a dream I love it so much and it was a challenge but fun so definitely recommend modding cheap things
I keep seeing these vibrato arm which are smoothly rounded instead of having the sharp bend like the one this and other guitars come with. Did you bend it or where does this come from? Thank you I loved the video, the sounds are so great!
Oh man, you say you don't play guitar too much but you sure know how to get some beautiful sounds out of that beast. And yes, I've got two 2nd hand Squiers (JM and Jag) for exact the same reasons that you stated.
Yeah that drives me nuts 😂 i don’t mind "Jag-u-are" at all. Still sounds cool. Technically it was created by Fender so it’s a "Jag-wahr," but just please never say "jag-wire"! Hahaha
listen i know this videos pretty old now, but do you happen to remember which wiring you put into your guitar ? been meaning to upgrade mine and the ones you've linked look great but i'm not too knowledgeable about this kinda thing btw also wanted the vid was really great !!
Hey! Thanks. If you give James a message at home of tone he will be sure to make sure you get the right electronics for your Jaguar. I just went standard parts from him. You can even get him to prewire everything. Hope that helps?
@@DestroyingAmpsGearDemos Clean is really nice and good clarity too. I was looking at Creamery or Fender Pure Vintage Jag set for replacements as my CV Jag is way too microphonic. I see a Tropical Fuck Storm fan here...! :) Wicked band and wicked sounds! Everything Gareth Liddiard has put out sounds out of this world...
Glad that Nick Frost started a RUclips channel

Great sounds. Great skills.
Great video man, looks and sounds beautiful. Heartbreaking stuff when the soldering iron hit the finish, but you fixed it up nicely!
Combination of clumsiness and concentrating on talking to provide CONTENT...I nearly quit RUclips that day! Haha. Cheers pal

what pickups did you go with?
Great video! I'm gonna reach out to home of tone for some of these pickups. Your guitar sounded excellent.

What strings are you using on it? It looks/sounds lovely!
Thomastik-infeld jazz swing 12s
What pedal are you using 9min 30sec.
Squiers are very great with few mods. But I don’t like the neck, too modern (radius and frets) .
Love your last clip .

@@DestroyingAmpsGearDemos what did you do with the back of the neck? I find it sticky. Someday I need to sand it a bit.

Really want to do that, will be slightly hard as they have different gauges and tunings. But hopefully do something.
