To be honest it was really hard to stop overthinking. But step by step i did it, and life is so much better without thinking too much about everything. Also meditation helped me a lot to think more clearly :)
thanks for your continued support. yeah it's a shame how the youtube algorithm works. anyone on my email list is guaranteed to not to miss any new content. that's all I can do
I need to stop myself from overthinking by focusing on doing external things and pondering if I am doing it. I need to make decisions faster, I must make mistakes faster, I must fail faster.
1. What is my goal 2. Does the decision I'm trying to make move me directionally closer to that goal? Or farther away from it? 3. Congratulations, there is no step 3. Now take the time you saved on this step to go outside and say hello to some squirrels, because they love it when you do that.
this is similar to the idea behind the book 'does it make the boat go faster?' it allows you to filter out distractions and prioritise actions that directly contribute to your goals
step 3 is reflecting on the outcome of your choice and how things could have been done better, and step 4 is integrating that new knowledge into your future decisions. if you think theres only two steps, you're probably sociopathic.
Don't worry, my brain's been wired like that since childhood too. I'm still trying to reduce it, but I've had great success and progress. Two important steps for me were to watch healthygamergg's videos on this subject and start meditating.

I'm not sure if you can think about something too much. I really need to ponder this concept.

congrats on your progress
How did you accomplish it?
Meditation, Focus, limit time for decisions. These 3 things helped me the most :) @@Eaze54
Wow, I'm still subscribed to this channel, what a shame RUclips doesn't even show subscriptions by default. Great video as always!

@@TheArtofImprovementIt did 😊! I plan to start using this strategy from now on 😤
I don't know how to make it stop. Ive been doing it since childhood and don't even know what normal non overthinking brain space sounds like.
