    No two people carry exactly the same! I know that even in this fourth pregnancy, when I've gone through three others that were very similar, I still sometimes worry that things are wrong because of my bump alone.
    Either feeling too big, too small, etc, I feel like a lot of us like to stress ourselves out by comparing to others and worrying when our body doesn't look the same as theirs during a pregnancy.
    Even comparing to my own body. At 30 weeks I was significantly larger than I am now. Sometimes at the end of the day my bump is significantly larger, and sometimes it isn't.
    Obviously, if you have concerns, you should always check in with your health care provider- But, I think it also helps to see that even two people who are somewhat similarly built can look drastically different at the same point in pregnancy. And, knowing that we're not alone and feeling concerned based off of what our pregnant bodies look like. It can be really hard when everyone you see looks so different to yourself!
    It's very infrequent that I see people who carry more similarly to myself. I always saw those adorable, huge bumps that were high up and mine has never looked like that. The closest was this fourth pregnancy around 30ish weeks before it started getting smaller again. I've always felt a bit insecure and awkward about my bump, because it sits low and is often so much smaller than I see from others. And because of that- I get lots of comments, even in person, about whether baby is okay in there or actually growing. And sometimes, those comments start to get to me and I begin to wonder if baby is actually okay. But, at least at this point I can recognize that I've been through this exact scenario multiple times before!
    And, I did want to add that I am definitely starting to feel a little better. The head pain is significantly decreased and I don't have the intensity and sinus pressure that I was dealing with before. So incredibly thankful for that! I was starting to wonder if it would ever go away 😅

    Mom was small like this when pregnant with me... People weren't believing how far along she was... What matters is that you have a healthy baby... Some people just carry more water weight, and carry babies different than others!

    This video randomly came up a few days ago while I was scrolling youtube. A few hours later I was searching for baby carriers and I was brought back to your page! Now I have three or four different carriers/slings/wraps on my wish list 😅

    Thank you for this!! I’m also 35 weeks pregnant and the amount of people that comment on ‘how small or tiny I am’ is tiring. Like people expect you to have a really big bump :| ! (Note: I’m also a very petite person)

    Same here I have a small belly and my baby is very healthy. It’s not about the belly size is about the mother and her body shape.😊

    I carried a 7lbs11oz boy then a 11lbs4oz girl and my last was 9lbs8oz girl. My 11lbs4oz obviously i was the biggest but had the most energy. I could run miles if i ran with how much energy i had. My youngest i was in my mid 30s and my older 2 i was in my 20s when i had them. My last baby the pregnancy was the worst. I do not recommend pregnancy in your mid-late 30s. Takes such a toll on our bodies(at least it did for me). But with all my babies i carried super high and when they dropped no one not even me could tell. Lol ive always been amazed by women like you who carry to full term a 6+lbs baby and are barely showing. Like where is the baby really at? Our bodies are truly magical.

    With my first I gained 50 lbs and I was huge but where's my second I lost 30 and that wasn't a problem because I was already overweight but I ate better and the baby was smaller plus he was more towards my back so as long as the doctor says you're healthy there's multiple different factors that could play into it weight gain the position of the baby just go off of what the doctor says if the doctor says the baby is healthy then you're good but I understand the concern I've been there you look great take pride in it

    I can relate to the worry. I had a bigger bump than yours appears but smaller than I see a lot of other mothers. My doctor told me I was measuring to small and not gaining enough weight with my daughter and it worried me but she was born 7 lbs 6 oz. I noticed toward the end of my pregnancy my belly stopped getting bigger did not protrude forward anymore but my ribcage got wider and my chest did too. It was painful and felt like my belly had no where to go and my back and ribs felt tight.

    • @letstalkbabywearing
      @letstalkbabywearing  Месяц назад

      At my last check they said I was measuring 5 weeks behind, which is my norm, but still always makes me feel nervous that baby has stopped growing- Even when all of the checks outside of that (ultrasound etc) come back normal. It's hard not to feel worried sometimes!

      You are wrong! I always carried small. It makes you feel like something is wrong with the baby. Not oh look at me look at me. It's helping to educate other women that baby bumps come in very different sizes

    • @abbygale3522
      @abbygale3522 Месяц назад +7

      I'm the mom that gains 40-60lbs when pregnant and I never took it that way. I took it as how drastically different our bodies are. But truly I couldn't imagine being the kind of pregnant woman that doesn't show much, I'd be in my head thinking I'm doing something wrong and worry 24/7. I don't think it's a flex, you just need to not be so judgemental and stop assuming.

    • @letstalkbabywearing
      @letstalkbabywearing  Месяц назад +8

      @@MD-hellodarkness Thank you- that's exactly it! When you carry this small, you often get told something is wrong, you often get extra tests, and you worry because it feels like everyone else carries bigger so something must be wrong. It's not a flex- just showing that our bodies are so incredibly different and your baby can be completely healthy regardless of how you carry!
