@@zac1375 THANKS!! I'll fix that!
Grocery Shopping - I have two questions "when will I cook it?" and then "when will I eat it?" groceries are not a resource, they are a responsibility.
lol. I love this!! Such a smart outlook!
Thank you for helping me realize I am doing better with my money than I thought I was 🎉
You got this!
A simple thing I did to start managing my finances was to give myself a cash allowance for personal purchases (eg $40 a week). At the end of each week I topped up my allowance for the amount I'd spent, so I had $40 again. All the underspends in my "allowance" became savings in my bank account. Very simple and easy to manage
Nice work!
I negotiate almost everywere financially lol i made so many money mistakes in my youth now 56 i enjoy financial peace of mind little luxuries
Many years ago, there was a report on one of the TV news magazines (20/20?) advising to always try to negotiate the price, even if it is only "rounding down" from, say, $20.25 to an even $20.00. I (jokingly) did this once in Walmart, and the cashier gave me the "Are you crazy?" Look. 🤣
I just signed up for the budget planner from you! Im definitely a pen and paper person. Thank you🎉🎉
Nice! Thanks so much! And thanks for watching!
Thank you for your kindness and information that I really needed right now.
You totally got this!!
Most of us suffered the early years of pain by making dumb $$$ decisions. If you learned from it you have won! Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back :-)
Yes
ABSOLUTELY!
Yes!!!
I definitely do the 48 hour rule. I keep a list. I give myself a set amount of money each month for “shopping”. This includes anything that isn’t groceries, gas, rent or utilities. It could be personal care, household or other random things. Usually this category ranges from 0 in a no spend month to 100 in a more generous month. I will say that I get the dopamine rush from getting rid of things or selling things I don’t use as much as I do from new things. I think I’ve sold 600$ or more of craft supplies and things I don’t use this year alone.
Thank you for this, you make me feel better about my budgeting progress. It's getting much easier and I enjoy looking at the positive balance in my checking/savings.
You can do it!
I love the envelope method
I credit that 100% to paying off all our debt!
So do I.
Thank you for a great encouraging video! I'd love to see a video explaining a high yield savings account and where to find them.
Great suggestion!
That’s some great perspective. Maybe we’re not all where we’d like to be with our spending and saving habits, but even small improvements are worth noting and celebrating. Knowing what needs to be done is important even if we haven’t figured out how to get it done yet.
Hi Sara. I really enjoyed this video. It was very uplifting and encouraging, great job!! Jeannie
Thank you so much!
I love Austin's videos!
The balance in my purse at the end of the month goes into a till which adds up in time. If I use it during the month I ensure that I replace it. When buying veggies I check on the prices and buy the cheaper ones. I am not enticed by sales at clothes shops.
Yes I am at the moment trying to get into two side hustles.
Great work! You got this!!
Thank you for giving a pat on my back
How about having an emergency fund in your checking account? Not just savings. ❤
how much interest is good for a high yield savings account? My savings account gives 4%. How much is considered high?
@@katv1195 thanks 😊
Yes 4% is good. I’m at 4.25% with Capital One.
Impulse Purchases. If you include this in your budget for those random exciting unexpected items then you can make a choice throughout your shopping trip. Budget $30. One thirty dollar item vs two fifteen dollar items. If that makes sense.
Then you get to reward yourself, instead of always being stuck on a budgeted list of needs.
I also like watching Kosher Money.
Do you know any high yield savings accounts that are not online accounts only?
Your bank I do cds higher interest rate 6 months pays best
I wanted to download but I cannot get it.pls help.
