I was taken back 60 plus years into long forgotten memory when I saw the lady on the platform at Haywards Heath grab the collar of the child and pull him/her back from the platform edge. Amazing how these videos can do that, sadly I cant remember what I did yesterday though LOL.
Thank you! Brilliant! what a way to spend over 2 hours watching and hearing a beautiful machine! Shame about the sound, BUT we could hear the chuff chuff! Loved it !
Brilliant Video Liked the back route which the train took before joining the Brighton line. I remember the journey from Victoria to Eastbourne as a school boy. Did it many times. Looks a bit different now in places eg East Croydon and Haywards Heath. Much of it looks the same or similar. My grandmother used to complain that the electric trains sway too much, while the earlier steam trains did not. I think she was right!
Excellent video thank you so much for doing this and uploading it I was fortunate to by on this journey in first class a part from the wind and rain in Eastbourne it was great day out I also made a video and posted it on RUclips 👍
Another great video! I remember this day well. I met my auntie in Eastbourne and can see her waiting on the platform.
It was a good trip Henry!
