could you do like a master video of all the goats you’ve owned, their offspring, and what happened to them? i’ve been subscribed for years and haven’t been able to watch as religiously and have felt a little lost the past couple years.
I understand where you're coming from, but she'd have to make a new video every time something changed in the herd which would be an unnecessary amount of work. She has a full overview of all the goats that have been/still are on the farm on her website, it's a lot easier to just update that one rather than make a new video.

Most cats go after mice, rats, squirrels, etc because the cats see the vermin running. I don’t think a caged rat is all that enticing. Our house cats were always fed yet the minute they went outside and saw one of these critters, the chase was on!

Around 4 years ago I also bought a hoodie from yalls shop with all the farms names, the hoodie is still in perfect shape and condition, no holes, no tears and no pulled threads. First let me say I love your channel, your kids, you goats and the experimenting with AI. I’m a lover of animals, ALL animals. I understand you are having issues with rats but putting a caged rat in a closed in area with cats to be harassed, tormented - really surprised me. It seems very cruel to me. Like a dog on a chain and free dogs going after the chained one - no way to defend themselves. I’m only one person and maybe you put me into the crazy’s that troll RUclipsrs but I’m a faithful subscriber for many years. You’ve fought for those who haven’t been shown respect and been given support for different lifestyles or beliefs. Yes the discussion is about rats but it’s the underlying thought that it’s ok to torture anything we don’t like.
Uncontrolled rat & mice populations cause a lot of damage to structures, contribute to land fills due to large quantity of things they damage, and are huge vectors of disease for humans and other animals. Rats have been known to chew feet off of live chickens.

It's full circle to come back to yourselves to be bred also. That's kinda cool. I just love your videos and am looking forward to kids on the ground and seeing them all in the pasture together this time. Will it make keeping an eye on udders and uneven idea more difficult or not as your milking the does also so having hands on every day? Please done think I'm being rude with this next bit as I really don't mean it in a nasty way. It's not a good idea to put the rat in the trap in with the kitties as they won't do what they are designed with the rat already caught. They know they can't get to it and therefore won't be as interested. Plus the rat won't be acting in its normal running around behaviour as it's in prey mode and freezing. When the cats see the rats running around they will naturally go after it to do what their job is. One set of instincts from the prey will set off the predators instincts. They naturally know what's needed to do. There will always be some that this doesn't happen with but I think your two beauties will be just fine. Lastly as the cats will do the most of their hunting at night and with shy cats even more so.. once their role starts on the farm they will have those pesky rats under control. You are doing fantastic with them both. I do hope that I haven't offended if you read this x

Cats only catch things if their mum teaches them when they are kittens 🐈⬛ One of my cats has killed a much bigger rat,we back onto fields but a quite large estate in 🇬🇧

There are "Barn Cats" and there are house cats. It appears you have house cats. We have 4 barn cats and NO RATS OR MICE... ANYWHERE. They are fierce hunters and unfortunately don't mind catching birds either.
I would keep your hair like lengths was like like just at your shoulders or if not sure though but if you do it really sure it might go back to go but it might not have to go back soon that's just the way you're going to have to take
Most cats wont try to catch rats that big. At least ive never had a cat try. They go after mice and smaller rats but ive seen huge rats run right by barn cats and them not bat an eye. I think they know that rat could hurt them too.
You guys need a rat terrier. Other small terrier’s will also work. That’s what they were bred for. They can get into small places. Even Yorkies have done it. Better than cats.
