A full face helmet you can wear in heat & stay cool. LS2 Valiant 2. 6 vents, 4 pounds, modular. Amazing helmet.

You had me howling with your intro. I always love your intros. I always enjoy your videos all around, thanks for yet another good one. By the way, I also have a helmet like yours and get the same comments. I'm sticking with it so my head doesn't combust in the hot summer.
Thanks for the support and the kind words. My goal has always been to make people laugh and enjoy themselves. As far as the helmet, the skid lid is so much cooler in the hot summer. My full face just cooks me!

I feel you on the work thing. I live in the north and do large scale construction. My entire summer in spent getting projects out of the ground so the trades can work the winter. Riding time and my “club” time is limited.

Nothing wrong with doing things for you and the family. When the weather cools of then maybe that full face helmet will be a better fit for you. I say whatever works for you. What was the name of that resort you stayed at in Austin? I am retired and relaxing and having fun is my thing.
Thanks for the kind words and the support Rodney! So we stayed at a Lake House my wife found on VRBO website. It was very nice. It was in Horseshoe Bay Texas on Lake Buchanan. We went into Marble Falls as well and had a blast shopping and eating at the local restaurants.

Change is good. I hear you on the rides. I will only break out a camera to record a topic or location. 95% of the time cameras are in the tour pack. I wore my 1/2 shell the other day and I felt naked 😂…funny cause I’ve only been wearing full face for a couple years.
It’s crazy how you get used to a certain helmet and wearing a different one can screw you up! I’ve worn a full face the last few years and only a skull cap a hand full of times myself. Thanks for watching my friend!

Try Inks lake. We didn’t go but everyone tells me it’s a great fishing lake with a few really fun swimming spots. Thanks for the support!

I think you're making a wise decision. My talking head videos in my garage perform better than my motovlogs. That said, I'm doing kind of a hybrid motovlog where I share screenshots on the topic of discussion. Keep up the great work. Folks are here to see Big Smitty. Eric

@@jackboutcher68 I caught a good 13-14lb catfish and my son caught a 10lb one. We caught quite a few 2-5lb catfish and the little kids caught a bunch of crappie and perch. Overall we had fun and everybody caught some fish.
@@BigSmittyRiding Glad you all caught something and had some fun. Last time I went fishing with my kids I caught nothing and my youngest caught a good size largemouth bass as soon as he put the line in the water... He was very pleased with himself..

I ride without a helmet a lot, I spent 20 years wearing a skid lid, I am trying to get use to wearing a helmet more often but it is a struggle especially when it is really hot. I do a lot of talking head videos for same reason, it was taking enjoyment away from my rides.

Frankly I enjoy the garage videos as much or more than the riding ones. You're less distracted and funnier there. And I always enjoy Mrs. Smitty Hiding's bit parts in the intros! Please be careful with that skid lid. Don't wanna see that pretty face messed up. But I can well appreciate wanting to reduce protective gear in this heat. Sometimes I go out for a mere hour with my modular helmet, jeans and riding jacket, and I come home roasting. It's not even enjoyable.
The dealer that sold me my CTX up in Baltimore sent their weekly newsletter and showed a used low mileage 2020 base GW like yours for about $20K. Man... But I have to watch my pennies for a few years. And I love my Valk. So I'm good for a while. I'm in the process of buying new tires for the first time, and as you well know, it's a challenge on this bike. I spoke with Revzilla a couple days ago, ended up buying a set of Michelin Scorchers with a nice rebate, only to discover after placing the order that the tires say "Harley Davidson" on the sidewalls! WTF! I'm not having that. So I'm back to the drawing board. I'll be returning those. I can't believe they sold me tires with an HD logo. And now the guys at Revzilla don't seem to want to talk to me anymore. The guy I first spoke with and sold them to me was patient and took his time, but the 2nd guy was in a big hurry the minute he picked up the phone, and I wasn't about to make an important decision like this under pressure. I asked the first guy to call me back, and he emailed me with an order cancellation request. I then asked him to CALL me, which he didn't do. Service sucks anymore. I'm kind of looking at a set of Pirellis or Avon Cobra Chrome. I just don't know what to do.
I don't know what 13 and 1 or 12 and 2 means, but it sounds like your coming several months will be pretty unenjoyable. When all you do is work for days on end, it feels like you have no life and exist as a cog in a machine. I've been there many times. It's miserable. And puts a lot of stress on you and your family. Sometimes you just have to gut it out though.

Thanks as always my friend for your support and encouragement! I just put a set of Bridgestones on the Wing. Just put a quick 50 miles on them to rub them in a bit, but I’ll have a better assessment after a few more miles. The stock Dunlops on this bike were not great at all. I e been told through the forums and by a couple of local police that Bridgestone tires are great on the Wing. My buddy Jorge hates them so we’ll see how they fare on my bike. I’m gonna try Pirelli next. Good luck in the tire search and stay safe out there my friend.
@@BigSmittyRiding I asked the RevZilla guy about the H50's. He said they'd be a step down from the Michelins. Who knows. My Michelins just arrived. Man that was fast. They look great, but I just can't be advertising HD on my Honda. Imagine if it were the other way around!?

It doesn't matter to me if you wear a helmet or not !!! It's your choice and if you want to wear a half helmet then wear it and I personally hate full face helmets and I like half helmets better. Also you can do what everyou want with your channel buddy It's your channel and nobody can tell you otherwise. Later Hades

I’m doing the same. I’ll put the camera on but no talking while riding. And I’m just wearing the beanie. Too hot! Your videos are great however you film ‘em. I had yet another heart incident and may soon go under the knife.
