Hi from Sri Lanka. I am a RN here. I have qualifications except ielts or oet. I got a chance to become a senior carer.
Within the contract period can I do CBT and OSCE to become a UKRN?
I have noticed that if we have worked in a English speaking country , if the employer is providing a letter that we have practiced in english then NMC will accept it insted of ielts or oet. Is that correct ?

Hi maam! I also plan to take the same path as you. I plan to apply for senior carer role then pursue my nursing career since I am a nurse here in the Philippines. Should I inform the employer upon successful interview or should I wait for me to get there in the UK?

If you are applying in a nursing or residential care home the transition is easier; however, if you applied as domiciliary carer you should ask your employer if there is a chance to work as a nurse for them, as being a domiciliary carer is a house-to-house basis. Hope this helps.

Yes pwde po if you’re visa says Certified Maintenance including dependents. But you have to consider your start-up here, you have to be financially prepared.

Very informative video po Ma’am thank you. One question po: is really a must to have a driver’s license when one applies for the position? I’m very much qualified if experience and education ang topic, but I can’t drive anything with engine. Maybe an automatic scooter but that’s it.
Hi Finn. I don’t know which position are you referring to na kailangan ng drivers license. Hindi naman required yan kung mag-apply ka for a job, not unless if the job requires frequent travelling☺️
Same question din po. Yung agency dito sa pinas is nirerequire kami na dapat marunong kami magdrive specifically manual transmission dahil yun daw ang ipoprovide na car sa amin. As per them, we need to do long drives. Do you experience this kind of job as a senior carer?
@@CorrBinoya Same position po Ma’am. The recruiter I sent my CV to says their principal requires all applicants to have a non professional driver’s license and is capable to drive a manual transmission vehicle.

Hi, any healthcare-related degree/course would qualify, but you still have to comply with other requirements. Experience-wise, it depends on the employer if they will take you or not. Hope this helps☺️

Hi, some employers are okay taking applicants without experience. But mostly prefers at least with 1 yr. experience
Regarding qualification, if u have Diploma in midwifery, are u eligible? I have my ielts already of band 6.5

Hi Jessie, yes! As long as you are working as a senior carer in nursing/residential homes you can switch to being a nurse just inform your employer that you have plans to pursue your nursing career. Nurses are more needed here due to staff shortage.

Hi when I worked as a senior carer in N.ireland, i dont need sponsorship because I am on dependent visa. Try to check IANS, i heard they help senior carer applicants.

@@joannegutierrez1457 hi! So nacheck ko ung old payslip ko. Sa sahod ko na £1,400 for example. Ang tax ko was £100 something then National insurance na almost £100. 2018 yan na payslip ko sa Northern ireland , as senior carer sa £8.5 na rate

Hi Klarence. Try mo munang mag English exam, if di ka pumasa after few attempts then consider ur second plan which is ung mag senior carer muna. Kasi pgdating mo dito baka kasi maiba na mga plano mo at tamarin ka na mag comply sa requirements kasi not too bad din ang sahod ng senior carer lalo na sa private sector. Thats just my advice, gawin mo kung ano ang applicable sayo☺️
