High Modulus or Low Modulus is more class than a type of silicone. For example, neutral curing silicone can be HM or LM. Same for acetoxy, polyurethane, hybrid, etc. based silicones. Neutral curing ones divide into different subcategories (oxime, alkoxy, etc.). There are tons of options out there depending on the application, budget, demands.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I'm trying to understand the differences in silicone. I'm interested in a more durable silicone that I can use to create a pipe plug. We want to make a nonskid footing for a PVC framework that will be sitting in water. The plastic caps that are on the pipes now slide around on the bottom of the pool. The casted silicone plug will replace the plastic caps. Do you have any recommendations?
Hi... I was looking for a High Modulus for my bath/shower. I wandered over the street and I was lowered and beheld... I found a Arbosil HM High Modulus Sealant unopened in the street. (My neighbor but two is a Handy Guy.) I got it as it must have fell out his van and he didn't notice. I cleaned it up the next day. I will use this when I fill the bath/shower with water then use it as with the load of water or a person it will be in it. Fill the bath before you put the sealant on to allow the weight of you showering. Otherwise it will just split.
