Ploughing is the best job by far and most people still do up in Aberdeenshire. The 936 would look great on it. Muck spreading also a great job.
Yes Olly, I am a female and proud of that. Grew up in a scrap and engineering yard so love the kit, old and modern. Enjoyed the dry day with lovely walks with the dogs. Thank you and take care.
Bmy favourite job ploughing. Brilliant job 👍👌💪
lovely watching a plough work!
Loved the ploughing good to see the old ways still been used. Also fascinated with tractor driving, sitting there pushing buttons before you take off, half expect a voice over with the safety video.🤠🇦🇺
Brilliant blog Olly, great to see some ploughing taking place in your fields - yes, the ten furrows is really 😎 cool.🚜👍✊
It is definitely mesmerising watching ploughing, especially in slow mo. Am I strange that i love the sound of the merlo whining 🤦♀️😂
I’m 80% today, would have been 100% but 1. My daughter ate my cream egg that I purposely hid, and 2. Spilt my hot chocolate 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Have a good weekend all 👍👍👍
I am another lady who is “voluntold” to watch your videos! My husband watches them every every every every every day!!
Slomo plough filming was great Olly
FairPlay to Andrew doing a good job with the big plough. No bother to the fendt she’s a beauty
Great video again Olly,
I had a problem with a dp5 plough and the front furrow, was leaving a terrible finish. Turned out to be the leveling bolts on the plough were uneven and that's what caused it. Just check to see if the back 4 furrows of the plough is parallel to ground the ground when in the furrow. It sorted my ploughing out as well as my head 😂
Cheers mate 👍
Evening Olly, a real treat to see some old school ploughing rather than one pass rubbish what they teach students at Ag college these days. 90% today now was 80% before that video.
Yessss , a good old ploughing video , love ploughing , always did , it’s great , time to watch it again , cheers Olly and crew 👍🏻🚜
quality visual and explanation about ploughing, loved that🤟👍😁
Tighten their top link End off the play brings in aswell all way from Ireland 🇨🇮
The slow of how the skimmers work is really good,
Good vid Olly bit of a old schoolfarming ! Great to see some slow mo on the plough! Charlie BC 🇨🇦
Love the ploughing.👍
Great video, I love watching ploughing, it's something I wish I'd been taught how to do, one day I may have the chance.
My next door is 97, and he now watches you on the TV, a old farm worker but with old tractors 40s and 50s 69% today
Wow
Hi Olly thats was great about ploughing - loved the slao mo
Nice One Olly Plough looked to work well Thanks again
Cracking video and do miss ploughing as was a chilled out job even when was a kid on a 7740sl lol 😂😂😂😂
Great video olly theres some traction in that fendt I use to do a lot of ploughing when I was younger I do miss it
You saying about the ploughing being therapeutic I do some ploughing for winter crops with a 5 furrow vari width on a John Deere 6155r I find I spend most of my time just looking at the plough and the soil turning over , almost gets you in a trance 🥴
“Andrews never used a plough before” 🤣 great one to start on 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video olly, good to see some traditional ploughing, that 7th furrow needs sorting it a be uneven as hell when you power harrow it for the sunflowers.99%.
Thats a reversable plough,not a traditional plough
Sweet hat! Me n ash have been draining today... we think we might give your Fendt and drainage machine a run for its money!
What with
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer check out last minute of todays video… pure shovel power!
Great video olly, wow that fendt certainly has some power
All that pulling of heavy russian tanks made the Fendt grow big and strong!
@@martialme84 haha 😀💪
Great video olly 😃
I can see a trend emerging after this!...mark my words...the days of min/no-till are numbered........ ;-)
I doubt it what a waste of time and fuel
Zero till isn't a new thing. Why haven't people stuck with it in the past?
Why did our ancestors thousands of years ago decide to plough? They could have simply cut a slot in the soil and planted the seed in it.🤦♂️
Nice day for a plough
Olly if you use a rag and and old engine oil wipes mole bolds in the oil stop them rusting then It will glide better
good job with the plough just needs few more tweeks I had spells scratching my head with 4 furrows so you dun great with that lot
Great content again
Great video I was watching the live stream
The 724 did well on the plough!!
Never ploughed before....Boss gives him a massive wagon plough to learn with.
R,E front furrow one way, would the tyre pressures on the plough wheels make a difference if they were uneven? Lots one way and not a lot the other seems like that sort of thing.
Possibly
I was talking to a farmer that ran a 1200 in the late 70s who said in reference to steering problem to check steering return pipe is not picking up air. He said they had issue that it would turn one way and not other. Took them along time to find issue. Hope this is some help. Simon
👍🏻
That plough looks excellent! But would look better on a quadtrack🤣🤣Great video as ever
Best to adjust the plough when you start the field not halfway through you know
i took a greg besson plough to ukraine . it was a 12 furrow and they pulled it with a quad trac . they did the headland with a 5 furrow and a john deere . this was about 20 years ago
👍🏻
Can we see the David brown on the power Harrow in the ploughing
Yer
Olly I think you need to set the skimmers up a bit better. And number 7 furrow is not quite right is it?
I drove a jcb fatrac and I was muck spreading with a bunning that runs at 1000 speed, but it had a 540 shaft on it so the tractor knew it had a 540 shaft in it not 1000. Then It comes up with a pro overspeed warning. Id that makes sense
Get the man that soji the ploughed to give you some lessons I'm sure it like A-day trip out
Yer lol
Hi olly in one of your next videos can you please if possible do a farm tour
Ok
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer thank you so much
I think the council should allow people to drop off fly tipping at the recycling centers for free.
Some size is that plough. Was that your father in the shot ?? nice one
Its amazing what a 1690 will pull but does it have enough spools?
No
Bit of a baptism of fire starting him on that plough while he's being filmed by the boss!🤦♂️
I've ploughed thousands of acres and wouldn't know where to start with that thing.
Same here buddy, Ive ploughed a lot of acres with 4 5 and 6 furrows but would be bamboozled with a wagon plough.
Account made in 2006. Damn,impressive.
Homehow i got your channel in recommendation list. I checked, liked and i subbed.
Is this farm family owned(you) ?
I should have added more stuff in 2006 🤣🤣🤣
Family farm 25% owned
What is the big screen in the fasttrax?
GPS
Try 7710 on the plough.
Boom
The PTO over speed warning will be because you have gone over 110% of 540. It's in case you are running a 540 machine on 1000 as an economy measure.
It's been a while does the fastrac only have a 2 speed PTO?
4 I think
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer A strange one then, 40 series Ford's etc used to do that but with a 2 speed PTO. Because most new stuff is electronically engaged the tractor know what speed is selected so doesn't give an over speed warning. 🤷 I've not seen one on the dash in years.
for the size n hassle cant u just get a 6 7 furrow mounted
Did you run over a robot mower once? What video is it in its ok I found it now
1st April 2021
Showed it to my neighbor with the remote mower think he will be putting a barrier ip
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer was it a April fools joke at the time
You haven't got a nuffield to spread all the bull that would come out of the houses of Parliament a think that guy must be talking through yeah
724 is a best
I wanted to put birthday on bumper & donate but I can't find out how to do so? Please make it known how to do so.If u get this in time, put name on birthday bumper for 10th April & I will donate when I know how to.!
Who’s name
Leo mc Nally 🤣🍷👍
Hi
That must be very light soil because a 724 would not pull a 10 furrow down here why do cover up 1 of the letters on the 4220 number plate olly
So we don’t get charged twice on bridge
90%. Regarding the majority of names on the birthday bumper being female, maybe because husbands / boyfriends are watching and putting there wife’s/ girlfriends names on…. That’s what I did.
how menny passes can u do with a full spreader and please can u shout out the team at actfast thay let students ride motocross bikes so please can u shout them out in the next vid
thanks
Depends how long the field is
I thought you would have seagulls everywhere been as your in to no till ! Now you have ploughed it ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I did wonder guess they don’t know I bought a plough yet
Would you have been better with a shallow plough? I know there not cheap and no second hand value. I’m really interested in regen farming but what will happen if round up goes?
Everytime ive seen a field being ploughed the tractors normally follow by hundreds of seagulls getting worms, not a single one in your video 🤔 just an observation.
I guess they got use to not coming
I need a haircut ha ha
Oh know u couldn’t see any grey hairs could u 😮
Why are u ploughing today
🤣🤣🤣
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer did u try jimmy Fitzgerald in Fermoy Co cork for the power washer. Triace is the company name in Fermoy
Hi Olly i was just wondering if you could give a shoutout to my dad paul duggan who is in hospital. It would be great from jack duggan in Ireland
Very irresponsible standing on the back of a plough!! My young son is watching this!!!!
How do you know I do all my own stunts ?
No different to a skate board on back
Also only same as working with one been pulled by a horse forcing it in at least tractor wouldn’t spook and fly backwards
Was for educational purposes
My mother always used to say “do as I say not as I doo” perhaps the same could be applied to your son if he is tempted to ride a plough.
@@johnwarwick4105 More into direct drilling .
Don’t even own a plough! But that’s beside the point……
If you fell off you'd be left behind so not much danger! Rock on🤙
