Sara is a great side character for the story of MT. Its not really shown much in the anime but in LN she really does become a good friend of rudeus after the incident. She felt bad for it all and blamed herself and next time we see her hopefully in beginning of season 3 when she catches up with Rudy
thank god. I was really irritated when Sera & the other lady blamed Rudy for what he said when he was still hurting from her initial "I felt obligated" remark.
I am glad they didn't patch things up right away though. Because real life ain't ever that easy. This author understands how awkward and uncomfortable life can be and shows that just being reborn in a fantasy world doesn't fix that.
I really liked her and was disappointed with how their relationship ended up there. I'm reading the LN but haven't caught up to the anime. I'm trying to decide whether to read ahead and finish the novels or REALLY take my time reading them so that I can continue experiencing the anime blind.
@@Brianworldwide_7 try Ascendance of a Bookworm. It’s my favorite anime and though the LN goes a lot farther, the world building is stellar and I’d consider it a good next choice if you really like Mushoku Tensei

Dungeon Meshi is airing now and also incredibly good. Frieren was already mentioned but that show is incredible too. I really like Konosuba as well but it is more for comedy than world building and story.😊
This whole segment from when he leaves the city to now shows just how stupid strong RUdy is. He leaves the city, CHANGES THE WEATHER to erase a blizzard. then wanders into a place where an experienced party got beaten badly alone, rescues her and goes back. He downplays his abilities to everyone around him, but here he really shows just how powerful he quietly is. Mushoku Tensei IS the best Isekai. Full stop. I hope they do the whole LN in anime form.
Rudeus downplays his abilities because he has no reference point for what a normal person in this world is supposed to be like. His parents were both S rank adventurers with Paul getting advanced in 3 sword styles. He gets hired a tutor that has the capability of King class water magic and himself is hired to tutor Eris that has the capability of being a King class swordsman. His first party snags him a sole survivor demon that can go up against a sword god. So based on everything he knows and experiences, he's like average or below until later in life.

The guy who wrote the LN said he will start his sequel series once the anime has gone over all of the LN, so I think it's safe to say they are planning on doing the whole LN.

Rudeus' relationships with this group of side characters are, much like so much of this show, intensely and often uncomfortably relatable. I'm not quite the open perv that he is, but his awkwardness, his use of a mask to hide his real thoughts and feelings, his poor track record for dating, are painful to watch sometimes because they hit home. His inability to understand his value or his strength are also understandable. I am not as smart or as strong, but the difficulty in believing in myself? The depression he suffers? That I understand. I think Rudeus is one of the best written characters in anime, certainly the best written isekai protagonist! He doesn't have all the answers, he isn't some savior, he's not a goody two shoes. He's a person who suffered trauma and depression who was mentally and emotionally damaged. He shouldn't just be magically alright and a super hero.
@@Efosu33while that is true even in season one there are several examples of extremely good animation for mundane scenes, (some examples off the top of my head are Eris running on the beach when seeing the sea for the first time and obviously the bread scene)
@@Efosu33 you can have quality animation even in low impact scenes. Season 1 did. Meanwhile the most recent episode has a scene in the cafeteria where every character (even some main characters) were as static as a cardboard cutout. It looked really noticeably bad. I can only hope they just ran out of time and still plan to fix that for the later video release.

Just read this part in the light novel. She was is way way worse shape than shown here. She was nearly dead alot of bones where broken for example her rips. Here in anime it seems like she was cold just cold.
The situation during this was also way worse, there's a freakish blinding blizzard going at the time and even the top adventurer squads wouldn't risk going until it blows over in the next morning, but Rudy just runs right off without any hesitation! There were a huge number of the monsters as well, think it was around a hundred? (its been a while since I read that part), and the monster tree kept up a steady barrage of ice attacks while Rudy was trying to get close to rescue Sara. The rescue itself was no easy feat for anyone, but Rudy was just so focused on rescuing that he acted on instinct and reflex for the most part. He just realized how much of a feat it was once he got Sara back to town later when basically all the top ranked groups was readying to go out to presumably save them.
1:41 How is the girl that got saved hold her breath underwater while she's unconscious. I never watch this anime so I don't know. Can she breathe underwater?
Honesty I have no idea why he jumped in the water, aside from maybe to gain distance? I mean it had to be absolutely freezing, plus she was just stuck out in the cold for who knows how long.
I hope this moment causes Sara to deeply fall in love with Rudeus and they can get together and be happy! Rudeus could really use a win!! Wishing the best of luck to them!

What's weirder is that this is something that the anime added because in the novels he ran up to the tree removed its ability to attack, grabbed Sara and then went back across the snow. Once he got out of range he healed her, and took her back to town.

This scene isn't how the author wrote it tho. With Sylphie yes due to Ariels plan based on their childhood memory but this one was way different in the LN
This anime is well-drawn with an engaging magic system and world. Rudeus is a deeply flawed character who is slowly becoming better, overcoming traumas and learning to connect with actual love. I only wish there wasn't so much sexualization of minors in this show. There's some very creepy stuff in this show... Like... REALLY creepy.

You think it and feel it like a modern normal man and the morality u have go the same, but remember rudy is minor, passing throught things and feels coherent with à medieval world of fantaisy where everybody can due tomorrow from talking to the wrong Guy But still to much w young girl lol
