@@sapnas3077 - Fair point. I still don't remember those patches from AIT. Usually you would wear the patch from your branch school. ie, the "Follow Me" patch or the AMEDD patch. Whatever is appropriate to your case.
@@colin1818 on basic u won’t wear the army patch until you complete the forge which is two weeks before graduation. After that u will be wearing the us army patch. On AIT same thing, we barely got here to AIT and we still going to wear the us army patch.
@@ericarnas619 - Thanks. They change it all the time. I remember we had a longish ruck march during basic that at the end they pinned us with the gold "US" pin that you used to wear on green Class A's. I'm assuming the US Army patch has essentially replaced that.
GOD BLESS THE USA ARMY ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I still use them.
Not gonna lie to you. Everyone should have a p-38 or p-57 Once you got it down packed, you can open. A standard can just slightly slower than a standard opener.

Hyponatremia brother. You know that feel when you see the salt in the evaporated sweat on your clothes. And then you guzzle the water. And then it starts tasting a little metallic somehow.
And then you get the nausea.
And there will always be someone piping up with "herp, derp, Gatorade!" except Gatorade tastes like crap.
It's 100% better if you can actually eat the foods that have the minerals that form the electrolytes and maybe drink real fruit juices for those minerals and resultant acids as well.

acid+different acid= low amount of hydrogen + low but still relevant amount of usually salt)

If I had my way our military would get steak for breakfast, lunch and dinner! USA, USA, USA!
Shiiii I wish
Gotta make sure you gets some red potatoes and maybe some butter to
That's only for the (ch)Air Force 😂
I remember once i had 2 steaks at the DFAC
and we only went on saturdays and sundays
so we pigged out when we got there
I felt like i was gonna have a heart attack

I was homeless for 4 1/2 years. Some food kitchens gave out MRES after serving the meal thank God they did most days that was all I had to eat. I made 1 MRE last 24 hrs. Most of the MREs were tasteless but when that all you have to eat it's better than starving. From someone who had nothing to eat most days. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU for donating them because without them I would have starved to death. So if possible please if you can find a way please donate as much MRE s or emergency food boxes to homeless shelters. These can save lives especially during the winter season when there are so many people who are struggling to find enough to eat hot/warm food.
russian draftees seen this crying in the trenches 😭
Russian MRE'S expired 8 years ago💀💀
No M&Ms for ruskies

Ah young Private, Had my first MRE July 1988. Beef Frankfurters n Beans in tomato sauce AKA 4 FINGERS OF DEATH! RETIRED 2011. Yes Ravioli is tasty. My favorite over my tenure was country captain chicken. Enjoy your service and THANK YOU FOT IT!!!
I hope that trainee who’s only had two MREs isn’t being ask what the best MRE is.
The og white chicken chunk back when it had the Buffalo sauce instead of the bbq
Nah bro that mre gives me the worst stomach aches
cuz of all the special drugs they put in there, i can believe that.

Don’t do it
Yes you can
Great smile 😅
This is the exact MRE I’ve ate. Giving quite a throwback.
I use to love mixing creamer and sugar. Tastes like a sugar cookie. My favorite was always chili mac. And you mix that cheese in there. Maannnn..

The US army was the best fed during WW II the Japanese were the worst fed. Over the course of time it makes a big difference. Combat is demanding physically. You NEED calories to fight and march effectively.
all my fellow military out there knows , king be SERVIN
That’s a great survival kit. I remember for #HurricaneKatrina we had to eat them for #sevendays in the #Superdome
Oh yeah, that’s how you recruit.
That's pretty good we needed that 50 years ago
Our Drill Sergeants told us if they see us even look at our candy that they will "Skull f**k the sugar right out of us." Nowadays you got PVTs making TikToks and they get their phones in basic. I miss the old Army.
Tired of this stigma. This is an ait trainee u can tell by the basic graduation patch. I went through basic less than a year ago and a kid got dropped for an hour for eating just the gum. We don’t get our phones accept for 30 minutes on Sunday if the company overall had good behavior. Several weekends got our phone time revoked. Army may be softer but it’s also because recruits are getting smarter and machine gun go Brrrrrr soldiers aren’t in as much need 🤔😅

Yeah she's a boot in basic. The Sea of shaved heads behind her was the giveaway besides the rank. Lmao. I hope drill sergeant comes by after PAO stops rolling and snatches the M&Ms.😂

During BCT, I was in "not so relaxin" Fort Jackson, and despite not got going on sick call 1 day, I came down with pneumonia during last week of cycle and had 105⁰ fever, that could cause coma. DS gave me sh*t when I asked to see nurse. When "battles" rallied by me, I got admitted to the post hospital. While I was delirious before seeing doctor, their version of lunch for TRADOC joes was literally opening a storage closet that housed maybe thousand MREs. I didn't eat one cause so sick. But to answer video, cheese ravioli was my favorite.
Fun fact: years later that DS got busted down to E-1 and chaptered out due to egregious SHARP violation. Go figure?
Ha relaxing Jackson we always made fun of them lol
Sure
Karma is a bitch.
Then they find out about the navy firsthand and she begins reevaluating her life choices. Service people know what I'm talking.😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sailors: "What the hell is an MRE? Is that what you eat when the galley is out of pancakes?"
Im in the air force so i got mres, but i trained with navy seabees and they would tell me horror stories of "bag nasties" lol
I mean, its sad to watch it but 1000x better than any other Army MRE...
I never got my phone in basic but these trainees are soo lucky
Thank y’all for keeping us safe my dad was in the army he had to go to Afghanistan his name is Jacob blaylock
The Army today looks softer than wet bread. And that’s saying a lot, because even when I was in it was not that hard.

We had dehydrated Pork Briquettes, both dehydrated Peaches & Strawberries, Ham & Chicken Loaf & Chicken a la King !
The only Beverages were Instant Coffee & Coacoa Powder.
The beverage is just Gatorade powder.
The real kicker is these recruits get protein bars in basic at night now
I love the US Army MRE. Nice greetings from Germany.
I found out that I was pregnant during my first week of PLDC and decided to go on ahead and complete the course. The week that we had to go out to the field was absolutely miserable, I ended up having such bad morning sickness and I couldn’t even look at the MRE’s without getting sick!!! Fortunately I made it through and was promoted to E5 not too many months later.

I loved ths beef ravioli mre it was always the best one in basic could never go wrong with it it just hit all the time
I remember opening one in 1985, there was a trading card that welcomed New Mexico into the union!
I went to fort Moore with Boy Scouts troop 893 for the whole spring break, and every lunch we had MRE’s and I got the beef taco filling every time!
Wowzeers I totally wanna join the military now! I love risking me and other Americans lives for small technical advancements

I had 2 buddies in the reserves that would save the bread from their MREs for me when they came back to the dorm from being in the field. I absolutely loved it and they thought I was nuts for eating it. It wasn’t till years later that they told me no one ate the bread because it constipates you and that’s why they were always given laxatives when coming back in from the field. I don’t know if it’s true but it sure explained some things.
