    In Nepal we call it Arbajo, very similar. But now it's almost extinct in terms of craftsmanship. I hope few remaining artists can preserve this ancient musical instrument. Other similar instrument found in Nepal is called 'Tungna' which is much popular in terms of master craftsmen and artists.

    This is very interesting. Why do you oil the skin? Is it to make the skin more durable? Also, this kind of Rubab I have never seen before. Well done master!

    Rubab is a national instrument og Afghanistan. Not Tajikistan

      In Tajikistan they have their own kind of rubab, it's very different from Afghan rubab as you can see in this video. They're both related to each other but have developed into distinct instruments.

      I'm residing in canada, unfortunately, afghan rabab is not available in canada so i'm thinking to make one of my own but couldn't found a diagram or size or any guide in this regard, in there any internet site from where i could get such information .. Thanks

    Do you kill animal for it or use dead animal?
