Thank you i have them on all my polymer guns Just got a rival and went to order one and noticed the pro option that I’ve never seen before. Ill be getting it because of your video Thx again
I have the talon grip pro on my shield and it feels amazing. It honestly feels better than a stippled grip. I noticed it doesn't last as long as the regular one's though. It's something you'll probably have to change once a year if it's your carry gun. It's rough for the first week but once it breaks in it feels more like a carpet or something. If you install it make sure you use a hair dryer and get it super hot and smash it down on the polomer. A lot of people don't install them the correct way.
Great review. I've been using the Talon rubber grips for IDPA matches for some years. But the Pro-grips are now my favorites. But what caught my attention was that OTF knife.
I’ve always wanted to try these grips. But I’ve just never thought a “sticker” would be strong enough to stay on good. ( I’ve seen you’ve had yours for 2 yrs which is a long time ) so I’m intrigued
@@187massacre I'd rather have some grip tape wear down than an expensive stipple job. Hard to add polymer once it's gone. I do like to double undercut the trigger guard
Been using the granular for many years. Tried the rubber one time and just didn't like it that much. Just replaced a worn granular on my PM9 with the Talon Pro and think I actually like it better than the granular. Will have to see how it wears over time.
Love the granulated but very aggressive & can scratch finish if not careful or snag clothing so I'm thinking of getting the Pro grips for my 43X & 48? Wow that grip looks great but interested in longevity compared to granulate which is rather durable. Thanks for your feedback on these grips. Definitely getting a set or two now. Thanks.
A little late on this comment, but the PRO grip just doesn't last long enough for me, unless they have made improvements on them lately? I will hit the granulate grip with some fine sandpaper and makes a big difference in the snagging during carry.
Thanks bro. Just checking things out. I just ordered the pro grip for my beretta nano a few hours ago. She is hard to hold on to with my carry ammo. Underwood bonded 147g +p+. But she eats them like candy, and they hit hard. So I need the best grip to control the recoil.
I came across this video because my stippling has worn down significantly. Do you think I could put the pro grips over my stipple? It’s just too smoothie and not as tacky as it used to be
Yeah you should be fine. I too noticed that stippling doesn't last on a firearm. Talon grip pros don't last as long as Stippling but it's nice that you can change them whenever you want and they don't damage your firearm. Just make sure you use a hair dryer, get it super hot and smash it down on the polomer 👍..
I had some rubber grips , I didn’t like them cause you I oil on my body some time and I find it would get a bit slippery even when shooting I would notice i could feel the sweat sometimes
Does the granulate make your clothes stick to the gun when trying to draw? I prefer to carry OWB for comfort, not in concealment but I do tend to let my shirttail hang over the holster most of the time in order to keep most eyes from seeing it (still clearly visible though if you're looking for it and usually the very end of the holster sticks out at the bottom to keep me legal, even aside from the fact that a visible outline or even a visible lanyard that is attached to the weapon is enough to ensure it is considered open carry) I like the idea of granulate texture for oily/slippery/sweaty hands but I'm not sure if it will make it harder to draw if it is under a piece of clothing?
The talon grip pro is the best one for carry. It's rough when you first install it but after a week or 2 it feels more like a thin carpet. You should consider getting your concealed carry license. Open carry is fine if you only do it once in a while but if you want to carry a gun everyday having a ccw is much better.
@@werunguns I love them, the grips are unlike any other I've experienced,I also have my alien gear double mag carrier cloak mod,my cloak mod holster for my ruger is finally on it way I'm so excited.
...will not stipple a gun again...talk about all the negative...but you do not regret it. ...sand down granulate on the left side of the G19 but then say that the granulate is fine when talking about the LCP and that it does not bother you. ...say that the new pro makes the grip fill thicker...but then say it is not noticeable....well, which one is it? Pick a point of view or side and stop trying to make Talon Grips happy with your video because they gave you free grips.
It's funny... Several militaries, 67% of all police departments in the US, the FBI, boarder patrol... Even the navy seals issue Glocks... And only youtubers need a better grip for EDC. 🤣
Unless they’re regular officers on patrol, they’re probably wearing gloves when handling their firearms. That would eliminate most of the need for grip modifications.
For me, this texture is a real winner. I have it on my 43X.
Ive used the granulate for years but Im going to try these. Thanks for the closeup view on the grips.👍

I couldn’t decide on which texture thanks!

Great info, definitely going to order one for my G19.
Thank you, smart man, I agree with the best grip possible
Can anyone answer???
1. How long do they realistically last?
2. When you have to change them, is there all kind of glue stuck to the actual gun?
Hello, can you tell me where to find that OTF KNIFE?
I just put the granulate on. Had to replace the one side with the pros so I could carry it.
Great video dude thanks for making this!
I’ve got the granulate for my APX & love it. Gonna pick up the Pro for my 509.
Just ordered the rubber but damn wish i would’ve got the pro! Good thing they aren’t expensive and I can always replace the rubber later
Did you get medium backstrap or large?
@@Sway_Boogie I got the no backstrap for my Glock 19

I thought the same at first, but it’s worth a try. You could always remove it if you change your mind. I even have it on my shotgun

I run the granulated grips on everything. They work and hold up well

A must have for 43 , 43x and 48
Skate board tape mate, I completely agree, nice knife for $30
Granulate a lite coat of black spray paint help lessen abrasive
It makes no sense to semi-destroy something you pay for. Just get the rubber grips. Perspiration is going to increase your grip on rubber vs grit.

A couple months??
I think I’m going the stopping route
Id love to win the grip and will be buying one for my Glock 19G4 great video
Do the pro feel at all like sandpaper, I personally hate the feel of sandpaper.. Its like nails on chalk board to me lol
My Gen 5 17 has that cut out at the bottom of the grip. Will the Talon cover that up? I'd like to try a Talon
Thanks for this

A lot have asked about your OTF knife and not a single response from you.
Will these grips fit with a Glock 17 magwell or will the grip tape get in the way of it fitting correctly??
Great video…thx 👍
Where did you get the otf knife what model? I have a smith n wesson one but you have to recharge it.
What knife was that
Have you shot with them yet? If so how do you like them?
Who makes your OTF knife?
Will the Giveaway Talon work on my G19????
I’m putting on new talons on G19 as I’m watching

Can you use this with backstraps?

Unfortunately I don’t make the range rules and given the date of the video, those were the rules at the time.
Are you seriously shooting, outside, with a mask on? 😑
